10 year old GE Profile gas range that takes a while to light. The iginiters are sparking, but it takes about 30 and sometimes longer for the gas to start flowing. The gas used to come on immediately. Is this a problem w/the range or could it be something with the gas line?

I have the same problem (on a JGSP23 range), but I think the proposed solution is wrong. The solution mentions the glow bar, which applies to the oven, and the problem is with the range top. Since all four burners exhibit the problem, I don't think it's a bad igniter.
I should also mention that once the range is warmed up, the burners will re-start immediately. The 30 second delay in gas flow occurs only when cold.
We have the exact same problem. Igniters are working just fine, but it can take up to thirty seconds with the gas open for the gas to start coming out of the burners. Gas comes right out when the range is warmed up, but the delay returns after it has been a while.
igniters sparking, but gas flow takes awhile. when new, gas flow was immed, but now almost 30 s or more. seems to help if I turn on ALL the burners and then gas will flow sooner?
