I have a Ricoh Aficio 2022sp that refuses to send scans via smc to ONE Vista PC. Other users have no issues. I have disabled virusscan and firewall and tested all securities and permissions. Still PC and copier will not talk. I have ScanRouter lite V2 setup and everything was working until May. I logged into the administrator side of the Copier web interface and setup the destination 2 different ways, using unc and IP for routing yet no results. I am at a loss and my client is getting irritated. Someone point me in a general direction please!!

    The pc is a desktop, I have tried with ScanRouter and without ScanRouter. PC can ping the copier as well as print to it. I can access the internal web settings of the copier from the PC. All other systems onsite have no issues in scanning. The only difference is that this is a Vista system and the rest are XP's and laptops. I have disabled firewalls, antivirus and everything else I can think of to stop whatever is blocking the system. I CAN see it from the copiers browse the network feature, I just can't connect. It times out.

Are you using ScanRouter or SMB (SMC?) ?
How are the others setup?
Does the laptop have connectivity to the machine (print,Webbrowser)

Error 36851: No response from scanner" ricoh

Dear kishorkamble,

We fixed this error, which happened in another model (Aficio MP-5500), by configuring two options:
1. Activating SNMP protocol. Menu Configuration -> Network -> IPv4
2. Activating RSH/RCP protocol. Menu Configuration -> Network -> SNMP

Aficio 1013f scan? How to scan documents and than save it on my pc or send them via mail? I need help because my aficio have italian titles on it.

This is a loaded question. the 1013 can be either a network scanner (nic) or a twain scanner. this will depend on the type of hardware interface that is on your machine. Network scanning is the preferred method. I noticed that your model is a1013f which leads me to believe that it may not be equipped with the scan hardware. You need to look at your control panel and verify the scan button is there

Need help setting up printer on a network

Set a compatible IP address on machine:
"user tools"
"system settings"
"interface settings"
"IP address" (set compatible number)
"subnet mask" (set the right one)

Download driver if it's not done already, create the matching tcp/ip port, and continue with installation. Select "share this printer".

Make sure there are no firewalls turned on your computer. All firewalls should be controlled on a router.

Are you using the web interface from the copier to download them?

Scanning on Aficio 2232c from Windows Vista PC

goto www.ricoh-usa.com and download desktop binder.  Restart your computer.  Then use the setup options to link the copier to desktop binder.
Another way to do it is to skip the twain software altogether and use  a shared folder on your computer.  Your 2232 can link to that folder if smb is installed on your copier. 
The way to find out is to press the user counter/tools button.  Select key op tools.  Go to address book management.  Select new program.  See if folders appears.  If it does press the button and select the browse button to see if it can find any computers on your network.
Your computer should have a shared folder with no restrictions to it.  Windows firewall should be turned off.  You copier must be connected via ethernet cables.  Firewall protection should only be on the router.

Problem in scanner when scan

Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.

This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!
