Where can you bay usb cable for panasonc ds 55 camcorder to connect to pc.

This camera downloads video over a Firewire (DV, IEEE1394) connection. Some mini-DV cameras have a USB connection but it is usually used only for stills. This camera doesn't have a USB connection at all.

Suitable Firewire (DV) cables can easily be found on Amazon or eBay. You will need the kind with a small (four pin) connector at one end and a larger (six pin) connector at the other. However, while most PCs have a USB port, they seldom have a Firewire port. Macs often have a Firewire port but may not have USB. As most Windows PCs do not come with this interface, you might need to fit an add-on Firewire interface card. This will come with a driver for the card.

Panasonic nv- ds 65 mini dv digital

use the USB cable only for still pix. you would need a Firewire cable to be connected from your DV point in your camera to the Firewire port on your PC. Most PCs do not have Firewire readily installed. You can buy it the firewire card IE1994 card - its cheap. the IE1994 card is used for laptops and the other kind is the one you can plug into an empty card slot on your PC. You need to take off the cover of your PC and push in the Firewire Card. Put the cover back on and its plug n play. Firewire transfers at 10x the speed of USB 2.0. You will never have the problem of dropping even one frame. Its worked for me!!!

Gs- 11 panasonic camcorder - video transfer help

You need to connect your DV socket (the one next to the USB ) via firewire to your PC. If you don't have one on your PC you'll need to install a firewire card. You will also need Video editing software. If you have XP the windows movie maker should work.
