How to remove a 175 Massey Ferguson lift pump from a 1967 mod.. I am have trouble getting top plate off.

Climb up into the tractor's seat. Look below the lower left-hand side and lower right-hand side of the steering wheel panel for the serial number. Certain older Ferguson tractors have the serial number stamped to a plate that is mounted to one of these areas of the steering wheel panel.

Does it have a electric fuel pump ?Turn on key a few seconds 20 maybe,should send gas from pump;

I ran into the same problem and found the line to the tank was clogged, take your line loose and see if your fuel flows freely if not blow some air from a compressor back up the line and into the tank. Hope this helpls

well its most likley to be the piston rings worn out there is a slght chance its a blown head gasket or duff injectors but im going to put my money on rings
long old job fixing this,, but at least you can get a set of piston and liners for it,,,
