SOURCE: outside temp does not read new batterys in both

Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed.

SOURCE: Outside unit not registering temp and humidity to base unit

Uniden EWCI936
To get the outside temperature working again, open the outdoor sensor box carefully loosening the one screw with a screwdriver, insert 3 brand new AA batteries, check phone for outside temperature. If not showing on the phone display, try changing the 'channel' setting, just above the batteries. Be careful not to break the tiny switch. Gently use a smaller flathead screwdriver, if needed. There are 3 settings. Mine worked fine on the first setting. If it is showing on the phone set screens, then, carefully screw the lid back on to the sensor box, and re-insert into the sensor wall holder. I keep mine in a plastic bag on a shelf outside, away from sun, so I can get a true reading day or night. It is always a bit warmer in the sunlight than the true outdoor air temperature. Enjoy

Outside temp read 80.Smart phone weather said 70.Replaced batteries and did all the troubleshooting. Model 0041/00609SBDIA/00611A3. Less than 1 year old. Inside temp works, dashes on outside reading.

Place your remote temperature sensor and the inside unit together for about an hour to see if they both read the same or if there is a large difference in the temperatures.

Dashes on the outside temperature reading may indicate that the inside unit is not receiving a signal from the remote. Change the batteries on the remote or change the location of the inside and/or outside units so that they can receive a strong signal between each other.

Your smartphone temperature may be coming from a location that is not near your home. They are often from a weather service. Where is your local temperature sensor located? Is it in the sun? Is it on the south side of the house, or another location where the sun or an air conditioner or other heat source may affect the accuracy of the reading? Try to locate your outside sensor in a shaded location with plenty of ventilation, and away from heat sources.

My WS9620 does no show me the outside readings.batteries are new & the outside unit shows the temp. &the humidity

remove all batteries, bring the two units together and put the batteries in the base unit first, then the outdoor unit; they should sync within 2-3 minutes. Once they have exchanged temp and humidity once, you can separate them. Good luck.

The outside temp sender won't work. We put new batteries in it, but it does not send a signal. It will not put an outside temp on the clock.

Simple, the instructions state that when changing the batteries on the outside temp. sensor, you must also change the batteries on the main clock unit. I had same problem when I changed the sensor batteries until I pulled the batteries from the clock and it reset fine. ( Sensor batteries first, then clock batteries. ) The clock will reset to atomic time overnight so don't worry if it doesn't read correctly at first.
