My stratos spidem machine display shows brew unit miss and I cant get coffe grinder to turn on

Make sure that your brew unit is clean and lubricated. The CPU on the machine uses the brew unit to calculate the amount of coffee it grinds. If the brew unit is dirty and hard to turn strange things will happen.

Remove the brew unit and open the little door of the coffee chamber that is above the brew unit. Use a broken/folded wooden skewer stick to clean out the channel between the grinder and the coffee chamber. You will have to feel the channel, as there is no way to see what you are doing. Just bend/break the skewer to a right angle and slide it into the chamber with the pointed end to the right, toward the grinder, then wiggle it until you feel it enter the channel. Then wiggle it some more to loosen the coffee grounds that may be causing the blockage. Be careful not to damage the sensor flap that is just above inside the door to the coffee chamber.

Hi your brew unit is blocked. Open the service door and remove the brew unit and wash and rinse under water. Hot is better. The spout on the back side of the brew unit canbe unscrewed and cleaned. This is where most blockages are, Dazza REPAIRER

The first thing I would do is this. There are 2 knobs in the bean hopper. Turn the large knob to the largest number. You can turn the knob to a larger number any time but it has to be grinding to turn to a smaller number. Now replace everything and make your coffee. Once you have made your coffee you can turn the knob back to a number that was higher than the one you had it on, but only when the grinder is running.
If that didn't work then you have to clear the clog. Try removing the brew group. Then inside on the roof of the machine where the brew unit was, there is a drop chute where the coffee is dropped into the brew unit. From the front side of the drop chute pull down and left, and it will drop coffee. This will clear an opening, and that relieves pressure on the passage. There is a passage inside the drop chute area that goes to the grinder (towards the back). Vacuum it out. It will be on the right side of the drop chute.

There are more than a few things that can cause weak coffee.
Grind is too coarse. It should look like coarse sugar.
You cleaned the brew unit and left a part out or put it in incorrectly.
Grind adjustment is set too high. Turn to a lower # while the grinder is operating.
Grinder is been taken apart and not put back together correctly.
Grinder is broken and the grinds are just big chunks.

You have 2 knobs in the bean hopper. The small one is set to the most positive. Turn it back 1 click from the plus and that should take care of your problem. When you have a clean brew unit it will make the first coffee but a little coffee is left in the brew unit and when it tries to make the second coffee a full charge and the little that was left cause an over charge, and dumps the coffee without making anything.

Remove the Brew Unit from the maschine and clean it very well und running water. Thn go into the Main menu and switch back all settings to factory defaults. Then take a vaccum cleaner and put the pipe in the small hole where the coffe falls into the brew unit (knock a bit on the maschin inside). Put out the bean container and do the same with the hole where the beans go into the grinder. Then put everything back in and start a cleaning process for the brew unit (do it 2 times).
After that your Problems must be gone. The Problem is between the grinder and the brew unit. the grinded coffee has bee stuck and is not falling into the brew unit .... that happens when you use beans with lots of oil inside  .... or coated beans .... they "glue" the chute .....

There is a lever inside the door on the right. It is at the top in the center. Pull it back one click and try again. The crunching noise does it sound like a clicking noise?
