ok I read your manual and that jack #13 DIN is not document
and is unique to each system systems made, NO STANDARDS.
my guess your 5500 is dead or fails in some way,not told that.
they do not publish schematics, call them and ask , and hear NO.
SOURCE: din pin wiring
depending on how bad the current plug is what you can do is cut the plug down the middle (about 1/2" from the the tips of the pins) and what that will do is put you inside the plug just behind the solder points on the pins and from there ou should be able to indentify which colored wire went where and then make a diagram on paper. If the plug is not too bad off right now i would cut the cable behind the plug and trace whatever wires are still good to the tips of the pins and write their locations down before cutting the plug. Try to cut the plug as clean as possible using something like a dremel rotary tool works well, you may have to pause in cutting if the plastic starts melting too much do to heat from friction.

Try contacting the service center rep at (801)566-8800. They might send you a schematic for the pedal if you explain your situation. They do recommend using the original power supply which is PS0912.

SOURCE: i need a power supply
Hi well a power supply is a power supply, and as long as it provides the correct voltages and current, and fits in the space where the PSU should go, or one can use an external case, then any suitable PSU will do.
One could even perhaps modify, or even use direct? a PC, or laptop power supply, those units can supply 5 V at up to 5 Amps, and 12 V at at least a few amps, too. (The extra couple of volts shouldn't make an harmful difference) One could obtain one of these and modify as required?
However a tailored supply of the exact correct voltages, and current would indeed be best. PSU can be obtained from may places, online, Ebay among them or again Google the spec's and see how you go?
If a suitable power supply can be sourced, but, say it doesn't have the correct output cable and connector on the end, then perhaps one could remove the lead from the old PSU,and re-attach it to the new supply?
Of course if one wished to obtain a direct replacement, then it may be best to contact Videonics direct and inquire as to availability and costs of a new replacement supply, and go from there?

as long as the PSU and motherboards power and lead connections are the same as the hard drive
hope this helps
