SOURCE: I need a color code for a Sony Xplod CDX-GT23W.

Guessing that you don't still have the owners/install manual.

On the back of the head unit there should be a group of unused/unconnected wires (with any luck they will be marked), one or more might be an amp turn-on or power antenna lead, so I suggest (with the unit turned on) testing each wire with a DC voltage tester so as to identify and separate any leads supplying 12+ volts. the remaining group will consist of speaker leads. Trial and error testing will determine the proper L & R rear speaker leads.

Good luck

SOURCE: im having trouble installing the sps-600c alpine

Hello lucal_s2000,

Well, actually those 600c's do have a crossover. It's encapsulated in the wiring you got with the components. Your head unit or amp speaker outputs connect directly to the woofers. The inline crossovers have a 12" wire on one end and a 22" wire on the other end. Connect the 22" side to the 2nd set of terminals on the woofers, and the 12" side to your tweeters, keeping all of the positives and negatives straight.

Here's an image of the connections.

Alpine TMX-R2000, how do I get the sound to play over the speakers?

Hi,

if this product instructions are not useful to help you install your device in the car and get the sound playing properly, I would recommend using a mobile mechanic to hook up the device and debug it for you as this will save you much time. But you can re-attempt the install based on the instructions once more as you might have accidentally skipped a step.

Thank you.

I have a 12" d4 type r 1000 rms and a alpine 1000 amp speaker sounds great but smells like something is burning, my amp never over heats or shuts down but the smell is still coming from the sub?

Cut your gain back on the amp. It sounds like they are set too high. Check your install instructions on how to set your gain. If you have a 4 or 5 volt output head unit your will not be at half way. Im running a JL Audio 500 /1 on a skar wwv10 dvc in a ported box. My gain is set about half way & its plenty loud.I have a Alpine 9887 headunit 5 volt output on my RCAsI can take a volt meter & set my speaker output at 45amps & my gain in perfect.

How can i test my alpine cva-1005 head unit

You can bench test it by hooking up powers and ground to a battery (12 volt) and use a speaker to one set of speaker wires at a time. Even a 12 volt cordless drill battery will work. Should only take a few minutes. You just won't get reception to radio stations without an antennae.

I have a alpine mtx 450 what can i do to install it right?

Assuming you do not have the manual.
I would mount the unit first keeping in mind these amps get hot so air is important.
First wire to connect would be the System remote wire
then the RCA cables from radio into amp
speaker out from amp to speakers
Battery +
Negative to Chassis or Battery -

I have an alpine player in my car and im trying to install imprint but when i try to measure with the mic it gives me an error code -3(cannot detect front left speaker) how can i fix that?

Hello drmer17,

You do not say which Alpine head unit you are trying to use Imprint to adjust. If the receiver has the Ai-NET input and you are using Alpine's KTX-H100 tuning kit, make sure the Imprint crossover switch setting matches up with your speaker/subwoofer configuration. Also, I'd check the cables and remove and reseat them. Try switching the left/right channels and measure again. If the problem then switches to the right front speaker, you probably have a defective Imprint.

Hope this helps.
