SOURCE: Found top motor pivot mount broken off of plastic

Hey overman,

Sorry to hear that, I think you may have to look at an Outer Tub replacement.

You may have these links but I will post them just in case.

The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

Outer Tub P/N 25001199

I would call Maytag the outer Tub is warranted for 10 yrs per the the Service Manual.

Good luck Rich.

Homemade pumpkin pie spice mix

Have you ever wanted to make a recipe that calls for "pumpkin pie spice" but don't have it in your pantry? It turns out, pumpkin pie spice in made from things that most people already have so there's no need to go out and spend the money on another spice that's just going to sit on the shelf. Instead, you can make your own with stuff you probably already have lying around your spice rack.

Here is all you need to make your own pumpkin pie spice:
  • 4 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 3 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 3 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

Take these ingredients and put them in a small mason jar or some tupperware and shake them up good.

You don't need to use exact measurements and can alter to your own taste. My kids hate the taste of ginger so I usually cut it by about half.

On a side note, pumpkin pie spice tastes great sprinkled on your morning coffee or over your late night scoop of vanilla ice cream!

94 toyota camry vibration in steering column

Check all your engine mounts, including the dog bone at the top front of the motor. One way is to put it in neutral or park, securely chock the wheels, handbrake on, and have someone rev the motor while you look for excessive movement in the motor itself and its mountings.

Also your steering rack mounts while you are at it. This can be done by having someone firmly wind the steering wheel back and forth (ignition key in and on ACC) while you inspect the movement allowed by the rack mounts.

Shelf tech system nsf protrend user manual needed

I have no manual but i have often taken apart and reassembled this kind of shelving, which I think was originated by a company called Metro; in fact people tend to call these "Metro Racks" whether made by Metro or not. If you explain what the problem is I can probably help you. The basic rules are: Don't force anything; to take them apart a rubber mallet or, if not available, a hammer (preferably used with a block of wood to protect the metal finish -- in fact, sometimes a section of 2 x 4 lumber works fine all by itself) is needed; and don't lose the two-part mounting insert (often black plastic, sometimes metal) that is used at each location where a corner "hole" of a shelf needs to be locked in place (i.e., you need 8 'halves' per shelf). To assemble (or re-assemble) you need to put those pairs of mated locking collar insert at each corner of a shelf. They are designed to click together, and to fasten lightly at any of those 'rings' that are molded at intervals into the surface of each post. So you decide at what height you want a shelf to be, snap together 4 pairs of the collars at the height you want, and then slide the shelf down the poles (for the first one it may be easier to have someone helping you) until the shelf locks into place at all 4 corners. What I'd like to know (and don't) is what is the rated weight holding capability of each shelf; whether that changes if you use more (or less) than the standard 4 shelf setup (a bottom shelf, a top shelf, and 2 more somewhere in between); and what is the total rated capacity of the shelf, both without wheels (there might be a levelling system on the wheel less types) and with (probably less when there are wheels; I had a 2 shelf "cart" of this type had one of its wheel mounts bend whenI put some heavy equipment on the cart). -- Dan

Just wondering what kind of engine oil do i use on a 1973 fiat x1/9 and what kind of filter does it take? hope to hear from someone, thanks

with cars of this age i would just use a standard 20/50 engine oil.
this is slightly thicher than would have been used originally (10/40) but does make compensate for normal engine wear after 38 years.

the oil filter is common to a lot of fiat engines and is still usually available on the shelf in most motor factors. (halfords etc). the part number for the filter is different for different manufacturers but all factors will find the number easily.
the filter is also readily available on ebay, but with postage charges, can actually work out more expensive.

pick your nearest motor factor and ask them for the filter/ they will probably have it on the shelf for under £5

Remove rear motor mount

Rear motor mount removal is part of procedure for removing steering rack. Refer to repair manual. It requires dropping the engine crossmember. The front pipe support also needs to come off. See the image below.

  1. Place the front wheels in the straight ahead position.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle. If necessary, remove both front wheels.
  4. Remove the 2 engine under covers.
  5. Tie rod end removal - not necessary.

  6. Column hole cover - not necessary
  7. On some models it may be necessary to remove the left and right lower control arms.
  8. Universal joint disconnect - not neccessary.
  9. Power steering rack drain - not necessary.
  10. Support the transaxle with a jack.
  11. Remove the engine crossmember. Remove the front pipe support.
  12. Remove the rear engine mount and bracket.
