If the message PAPER JAM comes up on your LCDdisplay, first deal with the paper jammed inside the machine and then deal withthe paper cassette. If after removing the jammed paper inside the machine and in the cassette and the LCD display still indicates a paper jam then unplug your printer and plug it in again. If you still see a message that says paper jam, there is probably a problem with your sensors and you should contact a technician to repair the sensors on the machine.

Check where that u removed the paper and see if one of the sensors is stuck or out of place. also look for a piece of paper. you may have to get a flash light to see better

SOLUTION:
DO READ. sometimes there are two papers, but we're aware of one only.

I found that my printer stopped since a paper jam occurred. Well, I opened the door, removed the cartridge and found an A4 paper stuck. I gently pulled it and the paper was out.

But still printer won't start saying that a paper was stuck inside it. I tried every mean to find (in back outside door, inside, outside). Searched internet, shook the printer sideways, upside down, but nothing.

But lo, behold, in the top outside bin (where paper just comes out), I pulled the rollers (they don't fully come out, but just drop a bit), and found ANOTHER a4 paper (i.e. two papers had been jammed inside and I pulled out just one).

Also, I'd like to add, at another time, I fed a small a paper (about 3 by 5 inches) which was just lost inside printer, and showed a jam, that paper too had been stuck here only, in the path just before where the paper comes out of small rolllers.

So, that's it my friends, hope it helps.

Printer won't print after clearing a paper jam

I use to have an HP All-In-One Laser Jet printer that, for reasons unknown to me, wouldn't print after clearing a paper jam until I replaced the ink cartridge.

Paper Jam on the Canon Imageclass MF6530

Make sure that there aren't any tiny pieces of paper stuck in any of the rollers or gears. This can cause that as well.

Paper gets jammed everytime it copies, it would not go through. There's no paper stuck either. Canon MF6530

I am assuming its jamming in the ADF when you are attempting to make a copy, if so open the top lid of the scanner and check both hinges and make sure they are not broken or cracked. The slightest crack in a hinge will offset the paper path and cause jams. If the hinges look good check for a clear plastic mylar strip under the lid, it will be on the left side. If that plastic strip is missing that will also cause jams.

My paper jam error will not clear, on an above answer it says to check the sensors..I don't know where to find the sensors. There is no paper stuck in printer, the paper was pulled out whole.

Unplug the printer for about 5 minutes and try again, if still gives error, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. If that doesn't work try running a heavier stock paper (thicker) through the printer following the normal path, sometime the tiniest piece of paper will causea jam error message.
Here is a link to the user manual in pdf. Just enter your email, enter the captcha code and you can download the manual which should have sensor locations and troubleshooting information.
Hope this helps

Constant paper jam after clearing and checking all areas

Don't put too much paper in the printer Try only having 10-50 sheets or so in at a time. These printerssay they can hold hundreds of sheets, but they can't without having a "jam".

If that isn't the problem, you should pull the paper back a few millimeters, to make sure you haven't pushed it into the internal print-area.

Some printers are sensitive to the thickness of paper that you insert. Try using a different grade of paper, and see if that works better.

Printing envelopes

You will probably have to change your paper settings on the printer itself to proceed without an error. In the additional settings>Paper Size> change it from Ltr to Envelope.
