alright you go to your little settings thing when your at the main menu and go to usb at the bottom of the settings list and switch it from msg to the other one i cant remember what its called right now
You should format the device using windows media player or the device itself..that should fix the problem you are having..remember formatting will delete all the date you have on the device..
I hope that helps
Please rate accordingly
Thank you

try the recovery tool from creative labs it will hard reset your device and update the software, remember you'll lose everything but will get your player working again,
Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.
http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe
You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.
- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.
Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.
Best of Luck.
