SOURCE: Fan runs but no moisture

According to the manual, there may be a problem with your water level sensor. According to the manual:
- Ensure that water level sensor is assembled properly.
- Clean water float.
- Call service center and request replacement water float.

I scanned in the page from the manual that shows how to dismantle, clean, and reassemble the water level sensor here.

If that doesn't work, you can try contacting the manufacturer:

SOURCE: Venta Airwasher Display Light Blinking...

This has happened to me. Check the contact points in the base of the machine. Ours had some corrosion on them. I took an emery board and filed the corrosion off to clean the contact points.

SOURCE: New AC unit mist

It sounds like the unit is either level or tilted down in the front, not allowing the water to run to the back of the ac and the blower wheel is picking the water up and blowing it into the room.
You need to put a level on it and lower the back of the ac so the water the coil removes can run to the back of the unit and that should solve your problem.

SOURCE: I have an lg dehumidifier LHD 45EL. The humidity

Possibly the primary humidity sensor behind right side grill. Unit MUST be unplugged from outlet. Take right side grill out, unplug sensor from wire socket and plug back. If no help, you need new sensor.

I have a HoMedics UHE-CM65 humidifier. The misting seems to randomly stop and start. IS this normal? Does it somehow sense the room humidity and shut the misting off until it is needed again?

Yes, most have a Humidistat which senses the moisture in the air and cuts in and out as needed. This sort of says that it does.

Runtime is calculated based on using cool water and setting the mist level between the low and medium settings. Based on the natural humidity level in your home, the temperature of water you use, and the mist level setting you choose, you may experience longer or shorter run times.

A white dust is comming from my cool mist humidifier, is is dangerous to breathe?

Its probably just from the minerals in your water. If so you should be fine although it does make a bit of a mess around the house. If the white dust bothers you, fill your Hankscraft 240 with distillers water rather than tap water and the problem will go away.

What is proper procedure for running vinegar through my Hankscraft cool mist humidified?

Not sure why you would want to. Vinegar is typically used to remove calcium scale that remains after a heating element or electrodes boil off water. The Hankscraft 240 doesn't boil the water off. All the minerals in the water go out the spout with the mist.

How does the bread proofer work

a bread proofer needs still air that is moist. You can create those environments in your oven if you put a tray of water low in the oven and keep the oven low enough so as not to start baking the dough

Warm Mist HWM-2030 Humidifier: DOES NOT GIVE OFF VAPOR...

If the unit runs normally otherwise, but doesn't give off vapor, then your heating element is the culprit. i.e. if fan runs, switches in normal positions, indicating lights on, etc.and restart slide switch depressed and no mist, then, yes the heating element is the source of the problem. It may be bad, or otherwise it may just be scaled up from hard water, and require cleaning.

You may refer to your users manual, or if you no longer have a copy, you may download one at this link: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i3d/01/A/man-migrate/MANUAL000006709.pdf

Air/no moisture

the reason why you might not see the moisture coming out cause it's a cool mist humidifier. to test your humidity in your house you might want to get a humidistat which will letyou know if your getting the humidity in your room or not. now if it's a warm mist you will see it but it's a coolmist so you won't see moisture coming out.

Humidistat problems

The ability of the humidifier to maintain a given moisture content in the air is far more difficult than a heat or cooling unit to heat or cool the air.

Moisture vapor has far more energy to seek dryer air, than tempered air. So the moisture seeks and finds dryer air quickly, whether it be through stair and door ways, or through cracks and seams in walls and doors/windows, or through non vapor barrier surfaces.

The only way the unit would be able to achieve a humidity level as stated, is for the unit to be placed in a vapor-tite room that has a minimal of leakage.

You could put more humidifiers in the space, or more and larger humidifiers in the space, to try and overcome the vapor moving to other areas of the space. But unless you have a fairly vaportite space, it is unlikely the unit is under capacity, and the only way to test what capacity is needed is to take humidity measurements.
