my brother i am not familiar with that model but due to my electroincs experience all dvd players are make up of the the same principle.there is a flat strip that leads from the lens of your dvd player kindly remove it and replace it this strip is probably broken after doing this get a dvd lens cleaner and clean your dvd lens and your on if you cannot do it your self take it to a tech os that they can handle it.this job should cost about $75.00 US. enjoy Henry Thomas from Belize

SOURCE: Bose Lifestyle V20 Error 180

OK talked with Bose just a minute ago and they were able to correct the issue.

We disabled the power cord from the back of the media console (where the HDMI cables connect) and left it off for a minute or two.

Powered the media console back on and it is working as expected.

Was told by the Bose tech that the common reason for this issue is due to the use of the HDMI cables that have a propritary security protocol that is used between the media console and the component it is attached to (ie TV, Cable/Sat, BluRay ...ect).

I asked if there was a BIOS upgrade if it was indeed a "handshaking" issue and was told there was not one (yet).

If one becomes available, it will be shipped via mail on a CD\DVD that can be used in a CD\DVD player that is connected to the media console using the HDMI cable.

Hope this helps!

DVD drawer will not open - stuck dvd inside

My only suggestion is to press and hold the eject button for a period of time (15 - 30 seconds). This might unlock the drawer. If not, I would contact Bose Customer Service directly.

I had the same problem with a Lifestyle 35 system. Use a DVD lens-cleaning disk, followed by the latest firmware disk from Bose. This should clear up the problem.

Connecting lifestyle 27/38 to psp3

Your Bose system doesn't lead sound trough hdmi.
You must connect the optical cable with your lifestyle.
Change the sound connectionsettings in the menu of your ps3.

You also need to assgn the optical connection in the setup menu of the lifesyle. e.g. optical=aux.

Effect of playing pirated DVDs in BOSE

Only if your users are gullible or your pirate seller makes their own discs out of explosive or gooey stuff.  Mostly it's gullibility that gets into BOSE, though.
