What is wrong with my printer

I get this many times but I always see the paper jammed when I open it up. Once I removed the sheet which seems to stop at the transfer roller, I restart but it sometimes happens again.

One has to check the paper in the tray and see if it is free inside the top of the tray.I move the pickup.

Have you turned it off for a few mins then on again. Tried different paper?

Good luck

On printer error cod 6A00 displayed, on computer screen icon says service error 5C10. Have cleaned ink wells and wiped off excess ink. After cleaning far right side a long skinny black piece came out,...

Hi

Error 5C10 means a paper jam or the printer has encountered an internal error. And error 6A00 is caused due a paper jam in the sheet feed unit or near the print head. You can also reset the printer to resolve this issue. On the printer press and hold the ON/OFF button or unplug the power cord. Wait for 10 seconds, press power button ON/OFF button again. If this doesn't resolve the error code then unplug the printer for 10 minutes. Also, inspect the back panel of the printer for any paper jams. To clear the paper jams---

Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord and USB cable. Remove the jammed paper slowly using the following procedure. Open the rear cover to check if the paper is jammed. Pull out the cassette and check if the paper is jammed inside the cassette area. Stand the printer with the rear side down, holding the document cover. Press the tabs together and pull the green cover toward you. Check if the paper is jammed. (If you were not doing Duplex printing, you do not have to follow this procedure.) Close the green cover and place the printer back to a normal position. Reconnect the power cord and power on the printer. Confirm the Alarm light is off. Load paper back into the ASF or cassette. Press to clear the message and continue printing. If you are printing from application software, follow the instructions displayed on your computer. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Error paper jam

You should go to the website of whoever manufactures your printer. They always have drivers for their printers that you should be able to download and install in just a few minutes.

If you're absolutely, 100% sure that there is no paper jam, I would recommend just unplugging and restarting the printer.

Also, it may read a paper jam if you insert too much paper at one time. If you have a lot of paper installed in the printer, try taking out all but 10 sheets, and retry printing. My printer has a tray that accepts 150 sheets, but it "jams" if you put even close to that many in.

You should make sure that you aren't putting the paper too far in as well. Try pulling it back a few millimeters, as it may read a jam if the paper is pushed into the printing area.

CANON ir2000

All of the doors a closed right? I had the same problem with a IR-2000. It has to do with the cover on the left side of the copier. The door that has the drum in it. Make sure the drum is installed correctly. There is a small switch on the back of the copier that gets actcuated by the rear or left arm that is attached to the door. I fixed it by taking that door out and look at the end of the shaft/white arm and look for a worn out area toward the end and if so wrap some tape around that end to reform it and reinstall and that should do it for you. If not you may have a bad switch. It had me going for awhile, but I found it...

HP PSP 2355

the only thing that can be done is to go to your printers and faxes folder and looking for your HP printer icon, right click on it and select uninstal, switch off and remove printer from the usb port Next go to add/remove programmes and look for any HP printer software listing and uninstall it and restart the pc. If you have the installation cd that came with the printer reinstall the driver and when prompted reconnect the printer to a usb port preferebly a different one than before if you have spare and continue. reset the HP printer to the default printer if not already been prompted to do so by the software and try again printing, if the result is the same the printer itself is faulty and requires servicing or replacing
