I have a Toshiba SD-K730 DVD Player I am trying to set the Parental Lock limit what type of movies are viewed. Can you help?

Parental control setting

Some discs are specified not suitable for children. Such

discs can be limited not to play back with the unit.

1) Press C or D to select "Parental", then press B

or A until the level you require appears.

Level Off: The parental control setting does not

function.

Level 8: All DVD software can be played back.

Level 1: DVD software for adults cannot be

played back.

Select from the level 1 to level 8. The limitation will

be more severe as the level number is lower.

2) Press C or D to select "Password".

Press Number buttons (0-9) to input a 4-digit

password. Be sure to remember this number!

• If you input a wrong number, press CLEAR.

3) Press ENTER to store the password.

Note: Now the rating is locked and the setting cannot

be changed unless you enter the correct pass

word.

4) Press OPEN/CLOSE to activate Parental control

setting. (See "Temporary disabling of rating level by

DVD disc" on page 36.)

Notes:

• Depending on the discs, the unit cannot limit playback.

• Some discs may not be encoded with specific rating

level information though its disc jacket says "adult." For
those discs, the age restriction will not work.

To change the parental level

1) Press C or D to select "Password".

2) Press Number buttons (0-9) to enter the password

you have stored.

3) Press ENTER.

• The rating is now unlocked.

4) Press C or D to select "Parental", then press B

or A to change the parental level.

5) Press C or D to select "Password", then press

Number buttons (0-9) to enter the password.

Note: You can change the password if you want.

6) Press ENTER.
Now the parental level is changed and locked.

If you forget the password...

1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.

2. Remove the disc.

3. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the disc tray.
"No Disc" appears on the screen.

4. While holding STOP down on the front panel,

press 7 on the remote control. "PASSWORD

CLEAR" appears on the screen.
5. Enter a new password again.

hope this helps

It won't play t or m rated games

That is because the parental settings are still on the Xbox360. To remove them, you must be 18 or older on your profile.
  1. Go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
  2. Select Family Settings, Console Controls.
  3. Select Game Ratings.
  4. Select the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating level you deem appropriate. When you select a rating, you'll see a definition of that rating.
  5. To set a pass code to limit who can change your Family Settings, selectSet Pass Code from the Console Controls screen and follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. After you've set your code, select Done from the Console Controls screen. When prompted, select Yes, save changes to put your new settings into effect.

Need master pass code to a ps2 to play movies

There is no master pass code, but there is a code to reset the parental settings. It's important to note that 7444 is NOT the password. You have to hit SELECT when asked for the password. That is where you enter 7444 to clear the code.

Here is the procedure to reset the parental lock code:

Bring up a screen where the unit asks you to enter in the parental code. You can either insert a restricted disc, or enter the DVD setup menu and go to "parental control" under custom setup.

When the screen asks for the code, press the SELECT button, then enter in the code "7444".

The level adjustment under Parental Control dictates the strictness of the player. The lower the value, the more strict it will be. Either increase the value to lower the restriction, or disable the lock entirely by setting it to "off".

Once you have made your adjustments, be sure that the DVD tray is empty, and press the RESET button on the front of the Playstation 2. It is imperative the tray is clear of any DVD or game for the unit to save your settings.

Parental controls

Violence, sexuality, and all-around bad behavior abound in many Xbox games. That can be fun for adults but scary for children. Here's how to activate built-in parental control features. Turn on the Xbox console without a disc in the disc tray. From the dashboard display, choose Settings > Parental Controls. Select Pass Code and press buttons on the controller in any sequence. Remember what buttons you pressed and the order in which you pressed them. Select Games and choose the maximum rating level you want to allow. Xbox will also allow you to set maximum rating levels for DVD movies.
