What type of color distortion? There are many reasons for this. More than likely a chip in your set has malfunctioned. Are you knowledgable with dissembling appliances and replacing components? Tell m e more about you problem. Did anything happen before the problem. Were you watching and it happen or you cut on the set and it was like that? can you see any picture? are the colors higher or darker or blended? I simply need more information. Unplug the set for 1 minute and plug it back in and test it. The heat in your home due to the excessive cold may be causing the solider joints in the set to loosen. More Question? Just ask

Screeen color is green
This fault is called one color predominant screen. The cause might be to its video output card itself. There will be some loose solder terminals around the Green video output transistor. Check this card for any loose solder terminals. Just re-solder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjacent solder terminals. This card can be located at the neck of the picture tube [a rectangular board], will be directly plugged on to the back of the picture tube.

My rice cooker shuts off early
check the bottom of the cooking pan. it should be clean specially at the center where the curie point switch comes in contact . If you used this pan for cooking using gas or other electric stove, you'll burn the bottom pan, this will make the curie point switch opens early as this switch is being cooled by the uncooked rice. Burnt, dirty, crusted and deformed bottom pans affects the function of curie point magnetic switch.

Still can't find a code for Electron LCDTV
You have joined the ranks of those who have several 'universal' remotes. They aren't. They are, at best, multidevice or multibrand remotes and even the 'learning' remotes don't learn from some originals. The use of the word 'universal' is a fraudulent nomenclature.
In looking at the product description, I noticed this:
"The DRC450 remote control is designed specifically to work with all Motorola and General Instrument Digital Cable Terminals."
It was then never designed to handle any updating.
You might try to obtain newer codes from the Motorola site for your model:
Motorola DRC-450
I didn't see any provisions for updating the code set via computer so it will likely never do what you want.

Distorted picture
when you say distorded, is it like a 3-d effect? or more of zig zag type lines in the picture. If there are color outlines like a 3-d effect, then you are having a convergence preakdown, and are going to need to have the convergence IC's replaced. if the problem is the piture is zagged edges and zig zag, lines or a smearing effect, most likly it is the PIP modle is going bad, and even if you dont use the PIP, the video still goes through that module. If it does not have a PIP feature, then there are bad capacitors in the sweep power supply and the problem will get progessivly worse till the set wont come on anymore. Hope this helps. Good Luck
