The heel on one of my Onex shoes split and I cannot wear these anymore. How can I get it repaired by Onex?

Hello, Georgia -

According to the History section of the Onex Shoes web site,
it seems that the parent company for Onex Shoes is:
Onnik Shoe Company, Inc.
11443 Chandler Blvd
North Hollywood, CA, 91601
(Source: D&B Hoovers [a division of Dun & Bradstreet], a well-respected business intelligence company, )

The only phone number I could find for the company (found on the above cited web page) is:
(818) 506-5353

I suggest you call the telephone number I found. (Call during weekday business hours, Pacific Time.) Ask to be connected with Customer Service. If there is no Customer Service department ask to speak with someone in the company about how to get your shoes repaired.

If the company does not provide any repair service for its shoes, if you have not already done so, check with a shoe repair business in your area to find out if they can repair the heel of your shoe.

Personal opinion: I find it odd that the Onex Shoes web site has no "Contact Us" link.

If you are unhappy about your Onex shoes and an inability to get the shoe heel repaired, you can post your complaints about the company on several web sites:
P*ssed Consumer (TinyURL link):
Ripoff Report:

Plus, you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for Los Angeles, California:

Phone number for onex shoes

A lot of people have asked the same question. There is no phone number or address listed on the web sites.
That may be a good business case not to get this brand!

Need to order tools to repair 29" mongoose crank assembly

Those look like standard three piece cranks. You need a special drank removal tool. The one made by Park Tools for pulling square taper cranks should work, CCP-22, they are about $15 at your local bike shop (LBS) or online. If you have Octalink or spline drive cranks they have a tool for that too.

The cranks are usually held in place with a 14 or 15 mm bolt or nut on square taper bottom brackets and you can use a regular ratchet and socket to remove these. Once removed, you thread in the crank removal tool (mentioned above) and then turn the handle until the crank comes off (this is very tight and takes a lot of "elbow grease" to turn the tool handle).

To remove your pedals, you can use a 15mm open end/box end wrench to remove them. Keep in mind that pedals thread into the cranks in the same direction on both sides, so in other words one side is reverse threaded (this has always been the non-drive side crank).

Stripped handle bar adjustment piece

Your bike appears to use an adjustable stem, which allows rotation to change the height/reach. Although such stems are a fairly new feature, they have been successfully used for several years. Apparently the one spec'd for your bike is not very sturdy. See the posts below from two people who had a similar problem. I suggest you complain to Walmart and ask for a fixed position replacement or a partial refund so you can choose your own stem.

Assembly manual

To remove the crank (the arm the pedal is attached to), you'll need a special tool. I got mine at a bike shop. (Bike shops are our friends.) I use the Park Tools CWP-7. It's pretty much a big bolt with a smaller bolt going through it. You'll remove the cap covering the spindle bolt (if it hasn't fallen out already), remove the bolt that holds the crank are onto the spindle, then thread the "big bolt" part of the tool into the threads for the cap on the crank. You'll then screw the inside bolt into the big bolt, which will push the crank arm off of the spindle.

29" Genesis Onex manual

Manuals are generic, very seldom apply to just one model, and mostly just have safety and very basic info. The Onex is a very basic bike - just a rear derailleur and V brakes. Maintenance is the same as for any similarly equipped bike.
