SOURCE: range hood blower motor - rangemaster

I'm not sure if it a regular home range hood but if it is. Check the price of a new one. A regular home range hood cost around $100.00 and a fan motor runs around the same. If it a commercial type is another story. If commercial Heritage Food Service Equipment will have the motor.

SOURCE: Carrier 58 Series Furnace Blower Motor Won't Shut Off

Yes. If the high limit is tripped, the furnace will bring on the fan continuously until the limit resets. Often, they will not reset if tripped repeatedly. If the furnace is too large for your application, you probably are not able to move enough air to keep the heat exchanger cool enough.

If you can get to the shaft of the motor, oil it using electric motor oil. If the motor spins freely, you just may need to replace the start capacitor, however if it is binding; you will need to replace the inducer as an assembly.

How to connect a six wire blower motor to a four wire blower motor.

It is not possible to directly connect a six wire blower motor to a four wire blower motor because they have different wiring configurations. However, you may be able to modify the wiring to make it work, but this would require a thorough understanding of electrical circuits and potentially void the warranty of the blower motor.
If you are not familiar with electrical systems and wiring, it is recommended to consult a professional electrician or HVAC technician to ensure safe and proper installation. They will have the necessary knowledge and expertise to assess the situation and provide suitable solutions.

Fix problem on carrier furnace heating blower relay click sparks click again got used mother board does same. Did I just get another bad relay or something else doing it?

It is more likely the motor or the fan causing the problem at this point [or you got a bad used board].
First with the power off try rotating the fan by hand to make sure it turns freely. If it turns hard or is stuck you know the cause. If it has places to oil the bearings, add a couple drops to both ends of the blower shaft and the motor shaft and try spinning again by hand. It could be the blower relay contacts are burned and making bad contact or possibly the motor capacitor or start windings are bad. Without a model number, I can't tell what controls your unit uses. At least Carrier is one of the better companies in providing manuals and wiring diagrams.
Carrier Literature Wiring Diagrams
If you are electrically handy, you might try energizing the motor relay without the control board connected, there should be a wiring diagram on the inside of one of the panels.

My blower fan doesn't come on.

2006 and later models have a X 13 blower motor. several million have failed. There is a 5 year parts warranty but you must pay for service to replace it. After the warranty expires a new one costs around $550.00 plus installation cost. Look on the end of the motor if it's an X13 there is no capacitor. If it's not an X13 the capacitor is the most likely problem.

I have an old Intertherm gas-fired furnace, Model MGH-055AB which ceased operating last night. It was quite warm when I arrived home, and when I set the heat up a little, began to hum, but the fan would...

Tom P's answer is generally correct: The motor start capacitor is usually not the problem. However, in some cases, particularly on older furnaces, where there were capacitors of certain make and production run will prematurely fail. This happened in March on a mobile home HVAC unit where both the blower fan and condenser fan motor capacitors failed open circuit. Both caps were of the same Mfg, and production lot.
Here is a suggestion (for you or an electrically inclined friend): Locate a substitute motor capacitor having similar Mfd (or MF) and Voltage ratings. Remove power from the unit. Reach into the blower squirrel cage and spin it to verify that the shaft is not frozen. Pull the wires from the existing capacitor noting color and location. Connect the wires to the substitute capacitor and secure it place. Apply power and turn on the blower. A no start? Motor replacement time.

You need to check the wiring to the limits and safety devices with are in a number of locations, make sure all connections are tight. The most common cause for the blower to run is the high limit device which is the one mounted above the burners on the flat metal panel with two wires.

Carrier Furnance Fan / Blower Doesn't Start (Model 58GP-125-GA)

sounds like a bad capacitor usually screwed to the blower housing (round or oval shiny can)
this gives the motor a kick start)
depending on the motor there is usally two brown wires that go to it
check the mfd rating on it probably 5mfd and replace it with a matching one
its a very inexpensive part

My central air also makes squeaky noise

All new blowers are sealed units you really can not oil them. By the time they start howling it is to late. Now some evap motros inside have two small plastic plugs on the motor. The outside one is easy to oil the inside one is blocked by the fan. Very hard to get to without pulling the fan. My suggestion calla service tech and ask for free estimate on motor service or replacement.Russ
