Q: My unit has been running for several hours. I hear the fan spinning, but I do not notice the water level in the tank decreasing.
A: First, check the filter to ensure it is wet. If the pad appears dry, remove it from the Base and gently rinse under cool water. Reposition wet filter in the Base. You may also want to note the current moisture level in your home. If the humidity level is over 60% the unit will not put out much moisture
as your air is already saturated.
UV bulb and filter are user replacement items

If water level in tank is dropping and fan runs then I'd say it is working.
OK?

Q: I hear the fan turning, but I don’t see any mist. Is my humidifier operating properly?
A: Dry air is pulled through the system and a fan disperses invisible, moisture balanced air. There is no
“mist” emitted. When operating normally you will feel only cool air coming from the unit. Monitor the
water level in your Tank/ Base. If you notice a decrease in the Water Tank over 24 hours then the unit
is operating normally.
Worked fine last winter. This year I fill up the tank and place it on unit.
As soon as the base fills with water, the remainder leaks out. The tank will not leak until it is turner over and placed on unit.
same problem with mine. did you figure out the solution?
Unit was still under warranty, so I sent it back and they sent me another one.
Worked ok if I turned off the heating element. Leaks if heat on. perhaps there is a hairline crack in the tube that runs through the unit. When the Hot mist goes through, the crack expands, and water in the tank drips down into the base, where it finally overflows. In any case it doesn't leak when the heat is turned off. Strange!
Same problem,
I noticed that the thank devleoped small hairline crack around the circular hole for the vapor outlet which likely allow air to enter in the top part of the tank. I think this is the reason for the leak.
I noticed that
1) fill the tank and let it stand by itself without the base -> no leak.
2) filled the base and let it stand -> no leak.
3) when the tanks is placed on the base - even without turning on the unit - than the leak is observed.
I will try to get a replacement part (under warranty!) from AOS.
i have the same problem as someone who said they stored it away - about 6 months - went back to use it and it 'leaks', but only when in use.
same. worked fine last year. This year, it leaks BUT only after it's been running for a while. No leak for the first hour or two, then I wake up to a wet floor/tabletop. Is this a design flaw?
