Please remove all sources of interference from the jvc device (ie radio, microphone, antenna etc). Then listen to the sound again. If the issue persists, please use another power source and check the device cables for any damage.
The problem is not buying a remote but get the proper code. All remotes "carry" Hitachi but they won't specify models, just list you the codes.
So, buying a remote will be something like a lottery: feed your codes, and BINGO.... or nothing!
So, my only advice: get a good one, maybe one of those selled for DirecTV and cross your fingers
if it opens back up when you close it the drawer mechanism is probably out of alignment. Most players have a slot on the bottom of the drawer that a pin must slide in. Look under the drawer and see if there is a pin sticking up that maybe should be in that slot.
try turning it off overnight and do a hard reset. Other than that, It is something you should refer back the the supplier and have the unit replaced.
