Does it give a specific message saying it's lost its IP address?

If not, how d'you it failed to save the IP address?

Static ip

Control Panel.
Network Connects, then.
Right click Local Area Connection and select properties.
Select Internet TCP/IP or V4 and click properties.
Select "Use the following IP address"

Now you should be able to set your static IP.

Click Ok to save changes.

What is the gprs/mms setting for sony ericsson X8? my network provider is globe philippines. i went to their customer service but even the representatives there can't help me with my problem.

Just follow this Guidelines

GPRS SETTINGS

1. Go to Menu>Choose Settings>Connectivity
2. Go to Data Accounts
3. Create New Account. GPRS/ PS Data
Account Name: MyGlobe GPRS
APN: www.globe.com.ph
4. Save Account
5. Go to Browser, Slect Options and click Internet Settings
6. Add New Profile
Name: MyGlobe WAP
Connect Using: MyGlobe GPRS
IP ADDRESS: 203.177.042.214
ADVANCED
Chg. Homepage: MyGlobe GPRS
Address: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp
Save Profile

MyGlobe Internet Settings

1. Go to Menu>Choose Settings>Connectivity
2. Go to Data Accounts
3. Create New Account. GPRS/ PS Data
Account Name: MyGlobe INTERNET
APN: internet.globe.com.ph
4. Save Account

MyGlobe MMS Settings

1. Go to Menu>Choose Settings>Connectivity
2. Go to Data Accounts
3. Create New Account. GPRS/ PS Data
Account Name: MyGlobe MMS
APN: mms.globe.com.ph
4. Save Account
5. Go to Messages>Picture Messages>Option>Internet Profile
6. Create New Profile
Name: MyGlobe MMS
Connect Using: MyGlobe MMS
IP ADDRESS: 203.177.042.214
7. Save Profile
8. Select the profile MyGlobe MMS in Internet Profile
9. Save Settings
10. Go to Messages>Picture Messages >Options
11. Edit Message Server

Download 'ccleaner' and use it daily. Run it through a couple of times,using the factory settings and the 'Run Cleaner' control until 0 bytes are seen to be cleaned following a scan

Click on Start and then Control Panel. Select Network Connections. Right click on the local network adaptor you are setting the IP address for. Select properties. If you do not see Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) click the install select protocol and add then Internet Protocol TCP/IP and ok. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and properties. If you do not know the IP Address select obtain IP address automatically and OK. Click OK to close and save Local Area Network Properties. See if this works otherwise you will need to find the IP Address for your modem.

Dlink WBR 2310 cannot connec to internet

Try to bypass the router and connect to your modem. Make sure you have Internet connection.
>If you have Internet connection. connect back your modem to the router.
>access the configuration page of your router.
>If you are given a specific IP by your Internet Service Provider, use that one.
>Login to your Dlink (type in on the address bar 192.168.0.1)
>Click Setup and Internet > Click on Manual Configure
>My Internet connection would be Static IP
>Type in your IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary and Alternate DNS
>Click on Save Setting on top.

but if your Internet Service Provider did not provide you those informations
> Under My Internet connection Type choose DYNAMIC IP
>Click on Clone Your PC MAC address
>Click on Save Settings
>If it ask you to reboot, click on Reboot.

>At the very top click on Status
>Under Status look for WAN
>Under WAN look for IP address
>If you have values beside from zero it means you have Internet connection otherwise, call your dlink manufacturer for manual configuring your router for Internet connection.

Hi,

Try the DSL modem directly connected to the PC.No D-Link Router(powered off and disconnected). Verify that the PCcould surf/browse/connect to the Internet. Go to Start, Control Panel,Network Connections, right click Local Area Connection, Properties,scroll down to/highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Properties button.Get the IP Add, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS assigned to the PC(write this down. This will be your WAN/Internet IP settings). Then Disable DHCP of your modem if it has one. OK, close, save or whatever is applicable.

Disconnect the DSL modem from the PC. Connect D-Link Router to PC (wired/LAN) without the modem connected to the router.Go again to Start, Control Panel, Network Connections, right clickLocal Area Connection, Properties, scroll down to/highlight InternetProtocol(TCP/IP), Properties button. Tick "Use the following IPaddress". Enter this IP Add 192.168.0.10, Subnet Mask255.255.255.0,Default Gateway 192.168.0.1 and the DNS from what youhave written down earlier). This will be your LAN IP settings. OK,close, save or whatever is applicable.

Open a browser and log into the D-Link router (192.168.0.1, using "admin" as a username and no password). Do not run Wireless Network Setup Wizard. In WAN/Internet/Modem setting of router enable/check Static IP Add.Usethe IP numbers previously assigned to PC that you have written down asthe router's WAN/Internet/Modem IP settings. OK, close, save orwhatever is applicable. Reboot router. Connect DSL modem to router.

Cannot access the internet through my DIR-625

Check your IP address to 192.168.10.1 on the network settings
after that turn modem and VoIP off.
Click on Setup / Manual Internet
Select Dynamic IP under "My internet connection is"
Click on "Clone Your PC's Mac address"
Click on Save settings, if it ask for reboot click on reboot
After the router reboots (NOT COMPUTER), it will take you back to the router.
Once your are in the router, turn the modem on first then the VoIP.
After the modem and VoIP has finish rebootin
Click on the status tab of the router and check uder the "WAN"
Settings and check the IP address. If you get an IP address then check the internet.
If you do not get an IP address Click on Release and then renew.
If you still do not get an IP address click on Advance tab
Click on Advance network on the left and turn UPNP off and save the settings.
After that it should be able to get an IP address and you should be able to get online.
