I downloaded the driver from the HP site. It came with Soundmax software. They suggest to use a mini jack-converter stereo-mono or vice versa, it's not very clear for me. I don't know if the output is mono, my speakers are stereo that's sure.
Then they suggest to modify the settings of the audio device, but this is not possible. The knob is grayed out.
Same Audio problem. I installed the D530 motherboard and audio driver soundmax was loaded. No audio from speakers, but when I half plug the mini audio jack in, sound comes from the onboard speaker.
I have the same problem. I did a new installation of Win XP. The audio was not recognized. I had to install Soundmax. Then the audio was recognized. When I put in my stereo jack of my loudspeakers I don't hear anything. When I put in only the first 2 rings of the stereojack into the line input, the sound is coming out the speaker inside the PC. Does anyone have a solution.
