sounds like a Thermal Cut-off this is a small sensor that detects if the heater has ignited properly, sounds like this sensor has failed and the heater shuts off to prevent from gassing anyone

If the unit lights Check the photo cell this can be done with an ohm meter and good light. Should have continuity in light.

Is there a frost line on your LP tank, if so you may need to replace the tank with a larger tank or refill your tank. This can happen if the tank your using is too low or too small (use 100 lb tank or greater). If there is no frost line it may be an issue with the thermocouple. Reddy heater 165,000 runs for approx 15 to 20 min. I unplug wait 5 min. it restarts again and runs for another 15 to 20 min. and so on ....and so on purchased approx 1 year ago


There is a sensor in the tube that is a safety feture. it is a snap disc it maybe faulty, it is reading that the tube is to hot and shutting down, it cools and works again, check snap disc and also they need pleanty of fresh air.

I believe the pump setting is 6.0 for the 155 BTU model. I will know more after tonight, we are using a Reddy Heater 155 unit tonight at church. I will look on the side panel and see what the PSI should be for the pump pressure and respond either tonight or tomorrow.

115000 btu ready heater/ about 3 years old from home depot/multi fuel


I would try cleaning the flame sensor, use a Qtip slightly moist with ispropyl alcohol. it's a rubber boot about 2in. long faceing the combustion chamber with two wires.
