SOURCE: Alarm light staying on.
I have the same problem. I removed the center panel on the back of the dish and found a fuse inside a white insulating sleeve. The fuse is open, preventing the current from reaching the heating coils. On the fuse it says 121 C. and 15 A.; I assume that it is designed to blow if the temp. of the dish exceeds 121 centigrade or the current exceeds 15 Amps. I don't see any reason to believe that either has happened so I suspect that these fuses just spontaneously fail. Now I just need to find a source for new ones. I wouldn't recommend jumping the fuse as it could lead to a fire.

I have only had mine for 3 weeks when it did the same thing, I looked up and called Optimus Enterprizes @ 714 956-1300 they told me they warrenty it for 3 years. Send it back and they will repair or replace it. I am near them so I took it to their office @ 2201 E. Winston Rd. Anaheim, Calif. 92806. When I walked into the office the girl took my heater into the back and came out with a new one. No questions asked. I did not even have to show my Ebay paper work.
SO my solution is send it back.
Good luck

Check on the heater coil using the multi-tester. Set it at Ohms 1 x 10 position.
1. Switch it off and disconnect it .
2. Disassemble the electric heater.
3. Put the multi-tester probe (red and black) at each
end of the heater coil.
4. If the reading is almost zero, then it is okey.
Otherwise, you have to replace it.
5. Then, reassemble the electric heater.
6. Plug it back to the electric outlet, and switch on.
SOURCE: 2011 Ford Edge was purchased
I had the same problem after 5 months of purchasing a 2011 Edge. The Oil Engine Pressure light comes on and stays on after driving 10 minutes and stopping for gas- it turns off shortly after I start driving again. I had a 2007 Edge as well and never had this problem. I just took the 2011 Edge back to the dealer. They could not duplicate the problem and instead reset all computer settings. The next day the same Oil Engine Pressure light came back on. Anyone out there with any suggestions?
