I bought this printer two montw ago and it works fine with Tiger 10.4.11 printing software ( not Canon's), except for the scanning feature. Since I installed Leopard, the printing software detects the MF4150 and shows to be printed, but it cannot print. the same thing happens with my Pixma MP800.
Check under the Apple site for this issue. I use Leopard and can copy and print with this machine. I have not tried the fax, however, I assume it will work. The scanner does NOT work with Apple...at least yet...I am not sure if it is Apple or Canon or both who are at issue for this. As per the post below, the duplex works just fine for me. You may want to consider the possibility of removing the current drivers and reload the one's currently posted by Canon.

I
figured out how to make duplex printing on the MF4150 work! Canon Tech support
says that duplex printing is not supported, but they are mistaken.
Here
is what you need to do:
1.
go to the Canon site and download the latest UFRII driver (v1.5) and install it
2.
in the application, go to page setup and select "Format For:" MF4100
Series [this was what I did not realize]
3.
then, when you go to print, select the finishing tab, and then select 2-sided
printing.
If you
skip step 2, and you application defaults to "format for any
printer," the 2-sided option will be greyed out. Other printer drivers do
not require this, but the Canon driver does.

My cannon pixma MX472 is connected to my Mac and shows an idle status and won't print.
