Great question , and I have one. (used for special purpose not as a PC at all, , my secret)
well it only has 1 hdd,
so is the boot drive.
and if you format it , the OS is now dead and gone.
so formatting booting it , in the OS is like is like deleting a bicycle while peddling down hill (close Eyes and imagine that)
what the real question is or was or not stated is
how to install windows on this very tiny toy PC?"nano sized)
sure boot the install media, and delete the partitions on the setup page, and then install fresh this unstated OS.
some versions of windows, if in fact it is windows, ? Is it?
(win10 install media , for example)
it will not allow you to do that, booted to media not erased before hand , in this case I use free killdisk.exe (google it) a free APP.
and erase the HDD , then I run smart tests on it ,or look silly when the OS fails to run on any BAD or WEAK HDD.
how to repurpose any old HDd.
we run smart tests on it first. (ask) I use Linux demo media free)
then we erase it with killdisk. (1pass of 0s is good enough)
it is now good to go. (use or sell)
w7 is pretty much max for any EEE BOX. but steps are the same.
but MS does not offer w7 for sale now, nor support it. now.

SOURCE: How to reformat ASUS Eee PC 900 notebook?
I have the linux version, not sure if you have the windows version or if it really matters. If you are looking to "reformat", you can go with the other suggestions with the USB stick. However, if you are reformatting to get back to the default settings, power on the computer and immediately hold F9. This will bring you to a screen that gives you the option to "restore factory defaults". You will lose all your previous settings, but if you were reformatting anyway, that's probably not a big concern.

HI Nick
Try hitting the delete key instead of F2 and post back and let me know if that works. There are some suggestions about your machine I read through but you have to get into BIOS to use them.
Please rate my post?
Bob
I'll be here.
SOURCE: Hi, every time I start
1. Try reinstalling it.
2. If you can't do that, just remove it altogether. EasyUpdate is unnecessary, especially for the EeeBox B202. XP and the platform that Intel's Atom is built on are very mature (@EOL), so updating to the latest drivers would hardly bring any noticeable difference.

go to control panel and see the administrator devices, see by network devices. Uninstall the driver, and get the new driver or old version update and reinstall again the driver , and try again.God bless you
