Would try in order:
1) Do you have power coming to the camera ie can you take pictures and see them? If not likely battery issue since no power. If a removable battery simply see if it charges fully and reinsert. If you are able to charge the camera with battery inside and a power cord, and it works then a bad battery.
2) For some cameras they have a butting next to the record switch on the back panel that you have to push and/or toggle. This is different than the push button switch on top used to take pictures.
3) If tried 1 and 2, try to toggle switch between display, taking pics and records several to see if it only works for display and taking pics. If so then an issue with the switch assuming digital camera.
Good luck!

I have no sound on my Canon IXUS 95 IS

There are a few potential reasons why you may not have any sound when recording a video on your Canon IXUS 95 IS camera:
  1. The camera's microphone may be malfunctioning or damaged. Check to make sure that the microphone is not blocked by anything and that it is enabled in the camera's settings.
  2. The volume may be turned down or muted. Make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted in the camera's settings.
  3. The sound file may be corrupted or missing. Try transferring the video file to your computer and playing it with a different media player to see if the sound works.
  4. The camera may be in a mode that disables sound recording. Check to make sure that you are recording in a mode that allows sound recording, such as the video recording mode.
If none of these solutions work, it is possible that there may be a hardware issue with the camera's microphone. In this case, you may need to bring the camera to a repair shop or contact Canon customer support for assistance.

Recording video and processing came up

The processing bar came up automatically for one of two reasons: You ran out of space for the video to save on your memory, or the SD card you are using writes too slow to record video after a certain length.

About it not turning on: The blinking light means the camera is processing (saving your video) and you will have to wait until it stop processing (the blinking light will turn off) in order to turn the camera back on.
