Vtech mi6896 Trio Cordless Phone Logo

One of the handsets is flashing "Warning Check Battery" It is a mi6896.  We have lost two of the handsets.  We don't know how to use the "Find Handset" feature on the base unit (the manual doesn't describe it; when we press the button, nothing happens).   We have one functioning handset, and one that flashes "Warning Check Battery".

Find handset works by causing the handset, or handsets to beep when you push the button on the base unit, and until you find the handset and push the off button. If the handsets do not beep the batteries are probably dead.
We have a handset that flashes "Charging", and later, "Connecting", but it never connects. When the handset is removed from the charger the handset shows "Place in charger". By process of elimination I have determined that the handset has a problem. The problem is NOT with the battery OR charger. I hope this info helps you.

Warning check battery

I have the same problem.... not sure why it happens but in fact the battery has actually been charged. If you open the battery compartment, then unplug the battery and plug it back it will work fine. Quite annoying to have to do this all the time.

In Use LED flashing constantly

Your phone may have lost registration to the base. 1) Try disconnecting the power to the base and then re-connecting the power with the cordless phone in the base. Give it a few seconds, then see if it works. 2) Try removing the battery, wait 10 seconds, re-install the battery and set the phone in the charger.
