Hi ...

light flashing 7 times means that there is an issue with printer head. Try and perform the below steps to reset the printer head whcih might resolve the problem. If this doen not, I would suggest you get your printer checked by a technician.

Reseat the print head

  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on.

  2. Check that the printer is powered on, and open the front cover. Wait until the print head moves to the center.

  3. Hold and slowly move the print head lock lever up and down several times.

  4. Lower the print head lock lever to secure the print head.



    Note: Holding the print head may cause it to not be seated properly. Perform this step using only the print head lock lever.

  5. Close the front cover.

How can I fix Canon Printer Error Code 5800?

Solution 1: Replace the Waste Ink Absorber
Step 1: Press the Power Button
* With the Canon Printer Powered off but connected to a power source. Press the "Power" button while pressing and holding the "stop/reset" button.
Step 2: Press the Stop/Reset Button
*When the Power is lit, press the "Stop/Reset" button two times
*While pressing and holding the "Power" button
Step 3: Move Into a Service Mode
*When releasing the "Power" button and the "Stop/Reset" button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (waiting for menu selection)
Step 4: Press "Stop/Reset" Button
*When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below.
(Each time the "stop/reset" button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in orange and green, starting with orange)
Note: Make sure there is need to press 4 times for waste ink counter reset
The number of the Reset button pressing LED Function Remarks
*0 time Green Power off
*1 time Orange Service pattern print
*2 times Green EEPROM print
*3 times Orange EEPROM reset
*4 times Green Waste Ink counter reset

Step 5: Turn on Canon Printer
Turn off the printer, then turn it on again.

Now Check the Canon printer error code 5800 is resolved. If not, then go to the next solution.

Solution 2: Enter Canon Printer in Service Mode, works best for multifunctional printers.

Step 1: Turn Off Canon Printer
Step 2: Go to Press the Menu Option
Step 3: Put Printer in Service Mode
*To do this you will have to press the "SCAN", "COPY" and "SCAN" buttons in that exact order.
Step 4: Reach to the "Counter Access" option
Step 5: Check amount of pages that you are printed
Press the "ok" key
Step 6: Press the "COPY" Button
Step 7: Score all the way to zero
Step 8: Stop once get "Scan Page Count" Option
Step 9: Set Score back to zero
Step 10: Press the "STOP/Reset" button
Step 11: Turn Off "Stop/Reset" button
Step 12: Disconnect the Power Cables and reconnect

Canon MP140 Error Code injet printer reset procedure:

Canon waste ink tank problem.
1. Change the waste ink absorber

2. Reset waste ink tank counter

Go to the service menu;

1. With the printer power OFF , press the Power button while pressing and holding the Stop/ Reset button.
NEXT
2. When the Power is ON, hit the Stop/Reset button 2 times while pressing and holding the Power button.
NEXT
3. When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button , the printer will go into a service mode.

Canon S520 printer won't print

there is a encoder strip in the printer to which the cartridge head carriage reads .if this encoder strip is dusty or loose the carriage cannot read so it bangs from left to right.and due to this printer cannot get set to its position.and the orange error light blinks.that transperant long strip with blacl vertical lines on it has to be checked.

Canon pixmaip3000 states printer offline & does not print, flishing power lights green & orange

I have canon PIXMA ip3000. After power cut at night printer doen not print. I re installed the drivers but no result. When try to print message appears printer is offline. POwer button is flashing shorthly green after orange lights. Error code 5100.

Please advice what can I do urgently.

My canon s520

The user guide for that product says that 7 flashes means the printhead is defective and that you should contact Canon's customer care. If you've recently replaced the print cartridge(s), try putting the old one(s) back in. If the printhead is truly defective, there may be no choice but to contact Canon or replace the printer.
