If I remember correctly, you need to pop off the plastic trim panel on the inside of the trunk to access the wiring. Just unplug it after removing all the screws and it should come out.

It means that your vehicles computer has detedcted an issue.

Go to a part store and get them to run their diagnostic computer on your vehicle to see what fault code (s) show up, they will also tell you what the code means and how to fix the problem.

Just pull the inner door panel off and look to see what's loose and rattling. That's the only way you'll find out what it is. Just telling us about the rattle says nothing about what it could be.

How do i cancel the service indicator on my 58 reg Mini clubman cooper S
Most diagnostic garages will reset this for you at a cost! normally £30-£40. albeit this should be done as normal after a routine service! there is a way of cheating by crossing over certain pins on your diagnostic plug, but i DO NOT recommend this, one false move and you could compromise the ECU.... costing a shed load more money!
