I have a Medion MT22. Major problem. It won't turn on. Keyboard flicks on then off and then nothing. Thanks in advance.

SOURCE: Medion MIM2120 Laptop

Remove the large panel (7 screws) on the base of the machine.
The memory is situated under a black flexible plastic cover about 75 x 30 mm - amost directly below the earphone and mousepad area.

Memory is held in position by clips at each side - press them outwards and memory card will pop-up.

A second card can be fitted below and slightly higher than the first.

I have just fitted IGb and will probably put in another (max 2GB), - cost about £15.

put the cmos battery back in and before you turn it on press and hold down the f2 key should send you to bios where you will have to reset all funcation becase you removed the battery

You need to remove all the screws from the back also, then remove the cover to the rear on the bottom and remove the wireless card (make note as to connection colours) and there is 2 (I think) screws under there, then one also under the battery, then the whole top opens up.

Make sure you have removed all screws from the bottom case, including the four under the rubber feet at the rear.

This was the most awful laptop I have ever worked on!

Hi Steve, its kinda hard to advise you considering your limited in what u can do, if you are not able to get into the bios or into safe mode using the keys on the keypad, only thing i would suggest that would be worth checking is the cable for the keypad, to check that just remove the keypad and underneath it there is a cable try taking it out and putting it back in, If the machine lets you into safe mode or bios let me know should be easy enough to fix. And by any chance did your daughter spill anything on the keypad?.. and if you aint sure how to remove keypad just ask will give you more details.. let me know how you get on.. John
