It is 13.5 v dc.
When viewing the end of the cable that connects to computer with the centered notch up, upper left and lower right are positive.
Upper right is negative (per the labeling on back of ac adapter),

Just remove all the screws at the back of your laptop and remove the CMOS battery located in the motherboard to reset the BIOS setting.

What's the password for phoenix bios on nec versa e6500 notebook?

try the following; phoenix, PHOENIX, CMOS, BIOS
If that does not work you have two options.
1) remove all power and all batteries for about 15 minutes (there is a battery on the motherboard) and it should reset to blank. 2) if you can boot there are various bios hack programs to reset the bios but I would only do this as a last resort. I absolutely do not trust someone to hack the bios if I can avoid it.

I want to boot from DVD for Notebook Acer extensa 4230

Before Windows boots, determine which keyboard command you need to type to enter the "setup" or BIOS. Hit that key and it should get you into the BIOS. Once in the BIOS, go to the boot priority settings and set the DVD to boot first. Normally the harddrive is first.

Forget bios password on nec laptop versa

The BIOS password may be removed by removing the BIOS battery from the notebook for 20 mins. If you cannot wait for this period, then short out the battery contacts for a few secs.
Replace the BIOS battery and go to the BIOS configuration and set the Date & Time etc.
If this procedure does not work then try this WEB site for BIOS passwords :-

Bios passwords can usualy be gotten around by sdisconnecting the battery for an hour or so then reinstaling it.

Replace CMOS battery in NEC Versa M340

so you need to replace rtc to remove password or reset bios yeah...
send me your email and I'll give you link to download iso for bootdisk program to do just that..
you download software (I provide) unpack it (winrar) and write to cd,then use the cd to remove passwords and rest bios and a whole lot more
