Defrost the fridge, take everything out of freezer and turn off for at least a day, check the drain is clear after defrosted and try again, if it happens again you may need a new defrost heater of timer.

I had that same problem but luckily mine was in warranty. The Main controller pcb located in the back of the fridge was bad and had to be replaced. The cost of the pcb is approx $500.00 usd. If you know of an electronic tech maybe he can fix it otherwise contact the store where it was purchased and see if they give you the contact info of the repair service for the refrigerator.

It is a Maytag Model mtf2193ar. The freezer will frost the vents up in the back of freezer. The fridge won't cool down.It has been this way sience new.

Fridge is not cooling

You probably need an adaptive defrost control which is located in the back right hand corner of your fresh food compartment. You have to dismantle the overhead controls to get to it. If you had to defrost your coils, and the heaters test good, then you probably need the above control.

Check to see if you have frost on the back panel of your freezer in your fridge. If you do your coil is frozen over and you'll have to defrost your freezer. I just did mine cause mine wasn't cooling properly on my fridge side.

Fridge Maytag model MCD2257KES. The fridge is getting power because the light comes on when the door is open. It for some reason lost all its cooling. Is there a rest button?

Under the front kick plat on the bottom there is a device called a defrost timer.. these go out quite a bit.. also the coil cooling fan could have gone out which is allowing the conpressor to overheat and making the compressor shut down and not allowing it to cycle enough to keep it getting cold... check these things out..

Without knowing the type of fridge(side by side, freezer on top etc.) all I can offer is this: Somewhere between the freezer and the fridge there's an opening thermostatically controlled to transfer cold air from freezer to the fridge. Most have a fan to move the air. So either the fan (if so equipped) stopped, and need to replace, or opening is stuck closed, or plugged.
If freezer is working fine, this is the only problem I can think of.
