I have a Nordyne KG7SA 054C 23A1 Furnace. It heats for a short time but never comes to the thermostat temp. Upon inspection, the control board has a status with both red and green LEDs blinking alternately. The manual shows this as a 1 Hour lockout Diagnostic. What could be causing this and what is the best fix? What is the 1 Hour Lockout? Thanks in advance for any solutions! UPDATE: After careful study of the manual, and watching the operating sequence of my furnace upon startup, this amateur HVAC repair dog figured it out. Tom Chichester's suggested answer was spot on...the flame sensor was the culprit. The furnace is about 6 years old, and the flame sensor was glazed, and did not sense the flame correctly. After the igniter lit the burners, it would shut down after about 4 seconds as a safety feature. I removed the sensor and cleaned the rod with emory cloth, then reinstalled the sensor. The furnace control board now shows steady red, green, and yellow status lights and the furnace works great...easy fix!

Hi,
Something has happened that has caused a saftey lockout of the furnace...it may be as simple as a power glitch or it could be a major problem...
Turn off the power to the furnace for a minute and then turn it back on...if it works great!!
If not then call for service..
