SOURCE: Appliance plug needed
This is quite a comprehensive list of small appliance part suppliers. I recommend you go to this site, once it opens in your web browser, press "Ctrl f" which will open a little word search window. Type in "rival" in the space and click "next". Each time you press next "rival" will be highlighted in the next company that sells their parts. You should then be able to find the web-site for that company by scrolling down a bit further.

SOURCE: S16RB Rival Electric Skillet
As stated by a previous poster (rlorenson2)
"There's a button on the base that is depressed by a nob on the pan.
Sometimes the button gets stuck and the safety feature kicks in and it won't heat up."
My Rival Electric Skillet had been used maybe 6 times when it stopped turning on.
Based on rlorenson2's info, I pulled the base out and depressed the button 10 or so times, pushing it down and letting it pop back up).
It did not appear to stick, and it was not dirty or sticky. But when I tried the skillet again, it worked fine!
