My humble opinion...
I have rebuilt many small engines and carbs.
You can usually get a good start with 2 turns open past seating it.
Both idle and run screws will usually work that way. from then, Im sure youll know what to do.

SOURCE: adjust high low screws on carb.

I found one at my local parts store (they also work on them) for $5. It looks like a screwdriver with a special tip on it.........

SOURCE: Poulan model: PPB430VS leaf blower. Won't start.

I think that those are suppose to be caps over the screw to discourage inadvertant tinkering with it. That way it is a deliberate act to get to them, if it is what I think it is.

Adjust carb on poulan chain saw

This should be set by a servicing dealer however to get close: Turn in the "L" screw until lightly seated. Then back out 2 turns. Turn in the "H" until lightly seated then back out 1 1/2 turns. This will get you close.

How to adjust carb on a poulan chain saw

Turn in the "L" screw until lightly seated, back out 2 turns. Turn in the "H" until lightly seated and back out 1 1/2 turns. Your dealer should then set the carburetor for rpms and idle.

What is the high and low adjustments screws should be set I just put on a new carb on poulan 50 cc chainsaws?

This should be set using a tachometer, but to get the unit started you can lightly seat the "L" screw and back out 1 1/2 turn then lightly seat the "H" screw and back out 1 full turn. Then have the rpms set with a tachometer to 2700 idle and 12,000 - 12,500 wide open throttle.

What is the factory carb setting for a pp3516avx

The factory uses tachometers to set the carb and should be used to adjust if needed. To get the unit in the ball park you can lightly seat the "L" needle and turn it out 1 1/2 turn then lightly seat the "H" needle and turn it out 2 turns. Then have your dealer fine tune the carb.

How do you adjust the carbuerator

Most of the new carburetors have screws with special heads that do not accept tools most DIY's will have. These carb. adjusting tools are restricted to dealers only. I can't speak for all dealers but many will adjust the carb. for you if you ask.

If you can adjust yours, start with one turn out from "seat" and adjust as needed for proper performance.

Starts but will not run

its a fuel issue. check fuel lines and fuel filter. If fuel lines are discolored or brittle or if filter has become unattatched from line- the fuel lines need replaced. Then carb needs adjusted ( turn low speed jet out 1/2 turn) or rebuilt

How to set carborator adjustment on Poulan Wild Thing 2375?

hello, the starting point for adjustment screws is 2 turns out.turn in til lightly seated so as not to damage them. there are 2 or more style carbs used on saw, some have plastic caps that need to be removed(a small metal screw used as a corkscrew or pry off) or you need a special tool -splined.set high spped til runs good and back off an 1/8-1/4 turn so you dont burn it up. fine tune low spped so it accelerates when trigger squeezed and re check high speed adjustment.single screw is for idle spped-raises or lowers-if chain turns while at idle back off screw.

Require high and low carb settings for Poulan 2050 with WT 324 carb. It has no primer, so have bypassed primer and run lines direct. Has heaps of spark but will not fire.

You will find that saws of recent production allow very little if any adjustment for the consumer. The carb will either have limiters which allow you less than one turn of adjustment or they require a special tool to make the adjustment. You will need to take it to a dealer to have these adjustments made. This is your government in action protecting you from that evil pollution your chainsaw spews out.

If you are able to adjust, then gently seat each screw and open 1 full turn. This should allow the unitto start and you can adjust from there. If it will not start you probablu need carb repair or replacement or you have other problems.

Adjust high low screws on carb.

I just finished looking at mine and I think they made it that way so back yard mechanics dont tinker with it. If there is a Poulan dealership in yout area that would be the place to get it.
