Question about Haier Refrigerators

I have a small 1.8 cf Haier refrigerator that runs but doesn't get cold. Is there anything repairable or replaceable that I can check?

HI sally.well wine coolers r not rocket science.your local engineer should be able to at least diagnose the problem...lets c if u can do it ok?(still getting power )u mean light comes on or u mean it runs but dont get cold?well haier is not the best but if it's done 7 years is not bad:).ok...1-check if it makes any noise or is completely quiet.if no sound feel the motor (compressor).hot or cold.if cold it could be the thermostat or motor.if hot running or not it could be refrigerant or motor.needs visual.hope this helps.ALI

MY FRIGE STOPPED WORKING

HI.THIS needs elaboration.on a general note i am assuming its running but not getting cold.1-check con/unit and should hotish.lack of refrigerant if it is cold and motor running.2-cond/uni cold and motor v/hot and not runnig.suspect motor.con/unit cold motor cold.suspect thermostat the motor.good luck hope it helps.Ali

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.

UNIT RUNS BUT WANT COOL BELOW 50 DEGREES... COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING AND COLD LINE COLD ,HIGH PRESSURE LINE HOT BUT WILL NOT COOL BELOW 50 DEGREES.

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

For some reason, the Haier Refrigerator that I have in my dorm room won't stay cold. I have the temp control all the way up (on 8) but it doesn't change anything.

Refrigerator does not get cold. Freezer does. 3.5 cf.

check the eoor gasket it may need to be replaced. The door may be out of line(not closign snug) you may have to lossen the screws holding the gasket on and line the door. a hint hold the bottom of the door with your leg or foot and **** lightly on the top of the door. That how we do a quick adjust

Not keeping things cold

check to see if the compressor is running in a cycle. if the compressor is not cycling, you will need to replace the compressor and fan.

if the compressor is humming, it because of a faulty motor and relay(start device). replace the compressor unit in this case.

Haier refigerator will not get cold

if the motor is runnig it has no gas in the system if motor is not running check the thermostat

Fridge won't quit running and get cold

2 common problems that unit has. 1 is the cold controls go bad and will cause the unit to either run or not run. 2 the freezer drain gets blocked up very easy and when the freezer defrost the water has noplace to go but the freezer bottom and could block the air passages so the cold air will not satisfy the control. so check the freezer bottom by removing the plastic peice on the bottom there are 3 plastic plugs in the front that secure it and some phillips screw in the middle. you can just lift it to check for ice. if there is none replace the cold control. good luck
