A VOLT OHM METER WILL TELL YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW . NEVER TURN THE HEATER ON BEFORE YOU KNOW IT IS FULL OF WATER OR YOU WILL BURN THE ELEMENTS OUT ., MY OLDER BROTHER LEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY AFTER DOING IT EVERY YEAR FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS

I have an on/off switch inside the camper and outside the camper where water heater is located. does this mean i have a propane/electric water heater?

Most likely if you have a switch that just is on/off it is for powering an electric water heater. If the water heater is propane and electric there would be a selector switch to choose between the two power sources.

Doesn't sound like its the dip tube, its a element problem, I would contact bw directly to see if heater is stil in warranty and they will send you new parts free.

Atwood 7920-11 furnace will not light. I am trying to light the furnace on my 2006 Jayfeather 19H camper that is an Atwood and looks to be an automated pilot lighting system but I continually get a flame...

Your electrode acts as flame sense as well. Remove electrode and clean it thoroughly/carefully especially at end where flame would be sensed and retry. Be sure connections on high tension wire is good and clean as well as connector and contacts on circuit board as well. If still same result, replace electrode.

We have a 2011 Keystone Sprinter 311 BHS camper that we bought last year; it has a 6 gallon gas and electric DSI auto ignition water heater, It won't stay on. When we first turn it on, you can hear...

Are you getting any hot water from taps? If not, check by-pass valve on back for proper positioning. You want cold going in bottom fitting open, as well as hot coming from top fitting open too. Any valves etc., in between should be closed. Let me know what happens please.
