The answer is yes. Chances are that the tstat you have now just hasn’t been setup properly. Don’t want to get the new tstat and have the same issue but I suppose you could try!
If it only has 2 wires, and the thermostat is digital, it has to have batteries. If you can't find them, pick up a new thermostat (heat only needed since you only have 2 wires) and replace. Red is power 24v & White is heat.
Should reset by shutting off power to furnace and then back on
With a Bryant if you turn power off and then on, if the thermostat
is calling for heat when power is restored blower will run for couple
minutes before trying to fire furnace. This is normal
Most Bryant units do not have a reset button but could have a low pressure or high pressure switch for a safety to protect the compressor. Verify power from the thermostat to the contactor by following the thermostat wires all the way to contactor inside of electrical compartment... TURN POWER OFF BEFORE OPENING.... If power is to contactor and contactor is pulled in then you would need to look at the capacitor of which is a canister about 6 inshes tall with wire terminals on top.. this part should be flat on the top and if it is rounded then thats your problem.. if not then contact a local company to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs.
Turn the power off to the Air handler unit.
Remove the thermostat from the wall, (Just the face part).
Look on the back side of the thermostat and verify that the jumpers are set to electric and not gas, otherwise the fan will not run during heat mode, they come from the factory usually set for gas.
If this is a electric heater this will solve your problem, If it is gas then it will be more detailed. Once you put it back on keep in mind that most thermostats have a 3-5 minute delay so just give it a little time and the fan should then work once you have the jumpers in the correct position.
