Hair dryer is your best bet without damaging fridge unless you unplug it and let it thaw for a day. Keep it up!

Ice maker is not working

It may be stuck with a bit of ice. Try using a hair dryer set on low, and direct the warm air to both sides of the shutoff arm. Do not try to melt the ice quickly, or you may damage the plastic parts. After a few minutes, start jiggling the shutoff arm to try and free it.

If this does not work, you will need to either disassemble the unit (on for the faint of heart) or call a technician.

Kenmore Coldspot side by side ice maker not working, red lite bliking

Often I find your ice maker on the Kenmore side by side thefill tube frozen. The fill tube is ablack rubber hose located above and to the right of your ice maker. Simplypinch the tube to see if it frozen solid. If it is, use a hair dryer set onmedium to defrost the fill line. http://www.on-timeappliance.com/kenmorerefrigeratorrepairdallastx.html

It's a Kenmore Coldspot that was manufactured in 1998. There's a tube that gets plugged, water freezes underneath the shelf in the freezer and water starts dripping down into the main chamber. I cannot...

The tube is located in the bottom of the freezer compartment under the coils. To access it, remove the back panel and then the floor of the freezer. Remove all of the ice. Melt the ice that is clogging your drain tube. You should see the drain tube somewhere along the bottom of the back wall. I use my wife's hair dryer or hot water when I do this to my refrigerator.

Ice maker not working Kenmore model 106.55226400

Look for an ice cube lodged in the fingers IM. Get a hair dryer and melt that dude. No ice cube? Add some water to the IM mold. If it kicks out some ice but makes no more then you is gonna need a water valve. If it don't kick out no ice then you is gonna need a ice mold thermostat. Either one is very easy and cheap to fix. let me know Kimosabe.

Kenmore Coldspot Ice maker is not working on our side by side refrigerator

Just above the tray that holds the ice cubes is a wire bar. If the bar is down, it will make ice. If the bar is up, it will stop making ice. When there is enough Ice in the tray, when the bar comes downm, it will hit the ice. If the bar is not completely down, no ice will be made.

I bet the bar is stuck, or you don't have a water supply to make ice (or it's plugged - de-ice the freezer).
