No volume from Audio-Technica ATM410

Audio-Technica ATM410 plugged into an HP Media Center PC and can't get any volume. Zero volume if plugged into Mic input in front of machine. Extremely low volume if plugged into Mic input in rear of machine.

i has recently purchased the forntech micro phones for my system.
i am able to hear the music from the system but i am not able to record my voice in the system.
please help me out to slove the problem

The mic you mention is a dynamic mic, and needs a mic preamp to get decent levels for most computer sound inputs

I have two words for you...Phantom Power.

Electrete condenser mic's MUST have phantom power to operate. Look for "Phantom Power" button on your Jackie (surely means Mackie) and try it again BUT turn volume down before engaging phantom power or testing mic.

You might consider sending it in to Audio technica for repair. They're really customer oriented and alot of times they'll repair and or replace for just cost of shipping. Try contacting them directly.

HP Media Center m7250n - How to hear audio steamefrom panel input

You need to unmute the line-in and adjust its level as necessary. Usually you can just double click on the speaker icon in the system tray and the Line In is by default muted and it is on the far right column (depending on your setup). If it is not displayed, click on Options and Properties and put a check mark by Line-in so that it will display.

There's no audio device, no playback device; cannot adjust volume.

There should be a volume icon in the bottom right corner possibly in the hidden icon section.click on it and follow instructions

Try running the diagnostic tool or performing the PC DOCTOR tool for audio device. the system sould tell you what went wrong for the audio device.

How can i decode pin numbers?

pin 1 is connected to ground or shell
pin 2 is across from pin 1
pin 3 is in the middle between them
you can plug in a cable connector and see the numbers molded in it

Hi, I just got a new pc HP Media Center M8430F, and I am not able to record stream audio or internet radio

I have an HP with Media Center as well.

Generally you need a software program that specifically records streaming audio and or video. A freeware program I use is OpD2d. Google it and install. Very simple to use.
