Newer version Philips TVs seems to have these issues. It appears these TVs have computer software. I suspect if this is a newer tv, it quite possibly has a bug. If this is correct it will need a software update.
Second thing I would suggest is replacing your remote control batteries. On rare occasions remotes with dead batteries can send out random pulses cuausing tvs to randomly turn TVs on and off. Though this is a rare occurrence.

SOURCE: Samsung 40" LCD turns itself off and on

I had Samsung support come to my house and they said it could be one of two things, one of which was a faulty power supply. Since they only had the power supply in stock at that time, they replaced that, and I have not had the problem since. So hope that helps! And hope it's under warranty!

Try changing the Tcon board, this kind of issue is almost always caused by a bad IC on that board..If you typed in the right model number it may be hard to find this board as I couldn't find one...good luck!

Lcd samsung picture pulsats sometimes why?

If the set is around two years old I would first suspect an issue in the power supply causing this---could be a puffed up cap there.

Another clue might be if it gets better after on for a long time or not.

My 32" Philips LCD TV makes a annoying buzzing

The main cause off buzzing from these sets is the transformers on the psu. This can be solved by sealing the transformers with a sealant spray.

Tv worked last night. This morning, no picture, no sound but ambilight works as normal...any clue??

this could be caused by vented capacitors in power supply..........look for domed tops on the electrolytics(small can shaped devices)on power supply board. These are bad and need replacing. 1000uf 10v.
Replace with high-temp(105 degrees C) electrolytic cap.
I use 25v or greater. Good success........meder'sTV

Red blinking led

My 42" Philips LCD did the same red blinking sequence last night. All was seemingly fine after unplugging it for a bit. An online search, though, has me worried that this may be the start of (potentially fatal) power supply issues. Anyone have a clue what that sequence means?

I've got one week left on my 1yr waranty, so I'm a bit concerned! :(

Thanks!

Mitsubishi 62" projection LCD

dirt internal to the tv. suggest taking the screen off and removing the small rectangular panel in the middle and spraying off LCD panels located under metal fins. this should fix distortion.......for now.

If the power lamp is flashing 5 times when it does this, you may need a new power supply. Otherwise, I would suspect a bad (solder) connection in the power supply.
