SOURCE: audiovox battery charger Rbn-300

If you remove the 4 screws to the top of the RBN-300 battery holder, then separate the halves, you will see a small IC board charge controller in the top 1/2. Remove the 3 screws to it, gently remove the board & (with a magnifier) look at the contact to the side of the board from the power plug (close to the LED light.
If you wiggle the low volt power plug, I expect you will see that the solder joint has broken on the board edge. Resolder & reassemble -I use hot melt glue to help support the plug to avoid re-breakage between plug & board.
This may fix your problem unless the erratic circuit connection has killed either the control board or you battery.

We need information on how to repair the battery pack for the audiovox vbp800 portable dvd player with screen

Batteries are not repaired (it is dangerous to open a battery yourself).
I suggest checking a battery refill company online. These companies are equipped to replace the chemicals inside your existing battery or might sell you a refilled battery, if yours is damaged. This is cheaper and more environmentally friendly than buying a new battery.

I'm trying to source a replacement battery pack for my 5 year old Tevion DVP7011 portable DVD player. I think going to Tevion directly will be about my only chance of getting one, but I can't find anything...

The Tevion machine is now re-badged as an Audiovox D1708PK.

You would have more luck now, searching for the Audiovox branding on the portable player.

This online retailer still has it for sale and I add the phone number below so you can contact them about getting another battery pack.

[email protected] [email protected] Toll Free: 877-285-8723 9:00AM - 5:00PM EST Monday - Friday
Also PC Rush, a store under Buy.com has this product and contacting them may help you obtain a battery.
Customer Service Toll Free (US Only) (888) 205-7777 ps.gif

This link here, is for an external battery pack and is on Ebay.

If I can be of further help, let me know,
