What would cause an Alpine CDA 7838 not to power up

SOURCE: Alpine cda-9811 is not accepting amp as external amplifier?

The signal should go from the head unit to the amp to the subs. Someone must not have wired the subs correctly through the amp, or amp to the cd player..

Yes it should work in the car you will need to get a mounting kit from a stereo store . Also here is the manual for it. Copy and past in the browser.

Try using a CD-AUTO Automobile Lens Cleaner kit. Keep in mind you pay for what you get. Try using a name brand cleaning kit.

Alpine CDA-7894 I have all wires hooked up correctly atleast I think. But were do I plug pink/black interupt wire? I switched the pwr-ic to off and still no differance.

Screen says searching when iPod connected to Alpine CDA-9847
Check your ipod to see if it is shuffle mode. Alpine doesn't document this but they have a bug that causes the problem that you describe. If the ipod is in shuffle mode the Alpine gets confused.

Instaling alpine car/cd stereo cda 9807
Its probably your wiring harness that came with the stereo. Which can cause many more problems. alpine changed their wiring harness around that time. But they used the same plug, just wired different. So now there are crossed wires, but the plug fits, causing the amp chip to fry. maybe even further than the amp chip. an amp chip replacement runs about 80$ at a repair shop. if its just that.

My Alpine CDE-W235BT bluetooth has stopped working after a failed update. How do I fix it? I tried to update Alpine w235bt. The update froze and I waited for some time but then I stopped the update by switching off the car. I did not think anything will happen but now everything works except the bluetooth. How do I take circuit board out of mtx thunder 1000xd mono amp? I need to repair blown cap and replace burnt up fet. Recently bought an alpine type r 15 2ohm dvc and didn't realize it was wired to 1ohm load and amp is only stable to 1000w @ 2ohm. When I initially hooked the amp up I got noise through it and then got a weird smell and noticed small amount of fluid and thought it was a bug that got fried and amp continued with no problem until it pushed the speaker so hard it popped the voice coil leads off their solder point then I repaired the speaker then got a loud buzz from amp and eventually smoke which was a fet that burnt up. I cannot figure out how to remove the board so I can repair. Any help is much appreciated thanks
