Upper half of iphone touchscreen is dead

I dropped my phone once and after that, the upper half of my screen stops responding. I've tried rebooting several times and I did a system restore on my phone but it still doesn't work. I don't know where I can get it fixed.

Garmin 2720 touch the (s) and the (T) responds

You need to recalibrate the touchscreen. Try this: Turn off the Nuvi. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then push down on the power button to turn the unit on. Release the power button when the Garmin logo appears. Continue to press on the upper left-hand corner of the screen until you see the calibration screen.

Go through the entire procedure of pressing each dot as it appears on the screen.

Once completed the Nuvi will display Calibration Complete This will recalibrate your touchscreen to the LCD display.

If this doesn't resolves your problem. then your touchscreen may be defective.

The top half of my i phone touch-screen does not respond anymore. Has been like this for one week now. Cannot use apps on the upper half of the screen including being unable to slide to switch it off....

Sorry but your touch screen needs replacement. Take it to the apple store and see if they'll give you a replacement. If they don't there are third party iPhone Repair Services that can fix it for you. There are also free iPhone Repair guide that show you how to fix it yourself.

My iphone wont respond to my touch in the bottem halk

Have you tried doing a hard shut down? Hold the silver button down on the upper right corner and also the home button (center, bottom indented button) together for about 10 seconds. the phone will completly shut off. then wait about 10 seconds and hold down the upper right hand button until the apple appears on the phone then release the button and wait (20-30seconds) . Doing this usually solves all my issues with my iphone when it gets locked up like this.

Hi guys i am seeking your help right now.two days ago the upper part of my jailbreak iphone stop responding when i touch it.i restore and i jailbreak it again and it is still not responding i reset by hold...

Restore your phone and take it back to the apple store for service. There is nothing that a fresh jailbreak does that will cause any part of your screen to stop responding. Sadly, It sounds like your phone may be defective.

Iphone screen problems

Had this same thing happen with 2 of my apple iphones, but it was the bottom half of my touch screen that wouldn't work. Took in back to apple. They didn't even bother trying to fix the problem, said it happens all the time, and it has something to do with the touch screen not laying correctly against the plastic, so it can't read your touch. They just took my phone, and handed me a new phone each time, and at no cost, of course. I guess it's just a flaw that they had not worked out before putting them on the market. Make sure you download all your settings, phone #'s, music, and pictures by syncing it with your computer through itunes before you take it in because you will have to do a restore once you get your new phone. Also, one person told me it could be due to the plastic film you add to the screen of the iphone, if you did add a plastic screen. It can cause problems with the touch screen. I took it off of my phone, but it didn't help at all. I, also, did a complete restore on the phone, but that didn't help, either. Just take it back to apple, or send it in, and they will give you a whole new phone with no questions asked. Good luck!

Iphone touchscreen not working:(

I think my solution for my Viewty will work for the iPhone

I found a solution for the LG KU990 Viewty touchscreen not responding problem. After thinking about twisting my phone, I came up with another solution which actually works every time. The touchscreen works via layers of plastic that when contact is made, a signal is triggered from the coordinates of the contact. However, when the phone has pressure, these layers of plastic stick together somehow. So, to fix it.... Get a small strip of adhesive tape that will not leave a sticky residue on your screen. Apply that tape in several spots on the surface of the screen, and lift it away from the phone with light pressure. Repeat this in several areas of the screen. That's it. You're done. Your screen should function properly. Simply recalibrate the touchscreen at this point in your settings menu. I hope it helps everyone with any type of touchscreen. I know it helped me. The touchscreen phones are totally useless using only the hard keys!
