SOURCE: no power

Unplug the tv press power on and plug it back in.
some of these units have a reset clearly marked on the back.
connect direct to wall as the surge protector may now have issue.

SOURCE: Wii completely stops working after power outage

I just had the same problem as everyone else. I had a brief power loss and our new Wii system's power would no longer work. To fix the problem, I unplugged everything from our Wii and unplugged the power cord from the outlet. I let the system set for 10 minutes and re-plugged the power only. That did the trick. Then I was able to plug everything back up and we are now back to playing.

Supposedly, doing the steps above resets the Wii according to the Nintendo online trouble shooting guide.

SOURCE: presario 2200 won't turn on after local power outage

Hi Mellisa,
If there isn't any lights on the laptop when it is plugged into the mains supply there is a power problem.
Check the surge protector, has got a reset button?
Plug a lamp into this surge board, if the lamp lights up when the board is connected to the mains then the surge board is OK.
Next check the laptop's power adapter with a multimeter, the voltage reading should be as per the label on the adapter. If the voltage is less than the voltage on the label, then it is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Borrow another adapter to connect to your laptop to see if it powers up or take it to your friendly computer shop to test it.

try unplugging from power for at least 30 seconds. if that doesn't work, it may be a fuse. see the picture for the fuse location.2_25_2013_1_41_21_am.jpg

Check breaker. Was there a surge of electricity when the power went out. This may be a simple fix. Sounds like the breaker is tripped. Test the outlet with a light to see that power is to it.

Sony ht-ct150 will not power on after power outage

It sounds like you might have experienced a power surge from the wall socket that fried some part of your speakers. You will likely have to have the speakers repaired. Consider investing in a surge protector in the future, and check the user manual for the speakers:

I misplaced my instructions for my timer and need to re-set it after a power outage. Can you please send me the instructions? Thanks.

Question posted under Intermatic ST01C, but Timer is not 100% identified since ST01C is battery powered, and should not lose programming or stop working with ordinary power outage.
Most digital timers have a battery or capacitor back-up for power outage.
Add a comment with description of timer buttons, or open link below to see most brands of in-wall timer.

Open following link for to identify Intermatic ST01C and Ei600 and download instructions:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#battery
ST01C timer has a battery backup. Power outage will NOT cause battery-powered display to fail, but power outage and power surge can cause any electronic timer to fail.
So either the battery went dead, or power surge ruined timer, or you don't have ST01C timer.

If ST01c display is not showing, then replace battery and then reprogram current time -or- manually re-set timer and then reprogram timer.

When the power is returned after a power outage it can cause a power surge and damage electronic equipment such as a computer. This is a reason to install a surge protection power board and connect your computer equipment to a surge protection board.
The switch mode power supply may be faulty and replacing it may get your computer operating again.
If you cannot DIY then ask a friend or take it to a computer repair shop.
