Hi, Your phone may be locked to its Network, that's why it shows "sim card not valid". In order to use other Networks, you need to unlock your phone. You can unlock your Nokia N70 using code. You can either get the unlock code from your service provider or from reliable online site. Superunlockcodes.com is where i unlocked my phone, they offered codes at affordable price, with simple unlocking instructions.
Please call the Bsnl Customer care of your area (bsnl circle). Tell them your problem and they'll promptly give you the puk code. There's no other way that you can get or obtain it. You should also understand that multiple random/invalid entries will block or reject your sim card permanently. So, before you face any untoward circumstances, contact the bsnl customer care. They'll ask you few questions about the sim card information like sim card owner's name, sim card number (not the mobile number) etc.. and will give you the instructions on how to unlock it and how to disable it from the Settings.
Please call the customer care of your network operator, it seems your number is from vodafone, Tamil Nada, india. They will provide you the code and information on how to unlock it. Please don't enter any unknown/random numbers before you call them, it'll damage your sim card and will not be valid anymore.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
Hi thee, I list here the possible reasons for "Sim card not valid"
1 - The phone is locked to a different network. In this case the phone usually accept the sim card the same , and has no network, but sometimes it may return the error message. Unlock the phone at a local shop.
2 - the SIM card is faulty. Test the card on a different phone to find out.
3 - The phone is faulty. Test the phone with different Sim cards, if the Phone returns same error on all cards, then the phone is faulty.
Go to Setting-Network-Operator Selection. Keep it Automatic
Go to Setting-Call-Send my caller ID. Keep it Set by network
& check your line in use. Keep it in Line 1
puk code is not a phone phone function . its a sim card function . the phone ask for puk code when sim cards pin code is enterd wrongly for 3 times . call customer support of ur netwok opertor from other phones and ask them to give the puk code for ur sim.. the simcrd must be in ur hand while calling them . as they will ask for a number printed in sim card (12-18 digit )
