Faded side of page

It sounds like you have a bad charge transfer roller. This roller is located below the toner cartridge. Open the top and remove the toner. Look under where the toner come out from, you will see a black roller that goes from side to side. The roller should be black, if it appears gray or white that it is worn and is can not transfer the charge properly to the paper so the toner does not transfer either so you get faded print. Do not touch the roller with your bare fingers because the oils on your fingers will damage the roller. You can ge the transfer roller as a part or in a maintenance kit with the paper pickup rollers. It is best to install the maintenance kit if your printer is over a few years old and has not had it installed already. The maintenance roller kit is available here: http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=172

HP 4250 print fades on left and right sides after five sheets

third party toners will usually give this type of error- remove the cartridge and replace with HP OEM Toner Cartridge- if the problem is gone the cartridge is at fault. if the problem is still visible you may need to order a maintenance kit to replace the transfer roller.
If after you have changed the transfer roller the problem remains then the issue lies with the contact of transfer roller to drum surface is uneven. tyhe transfer holder plates have snapped or the HVT PCB has failed which will require an On site visit by a Qualified technician.

Doesn't print on the right side of the paper in

It is probably the transfer corona if you have already tried replacing the toner cartridge. The transfer corona charges the paper so that it will pull toner off the drum and it can go bad. Email HP and find out if the transfer corona is included in a drum replacement. If so, you need a new drum. If not, see if you can purchase and replace the transfer corona.

Press the Select button and using the down arrow button, scroll through this menu until the display reads "Resets" and press the Select Button. Then press the down arrow button again until the screen reads "Reset Supplies" and press Select button. Once you get to this menu this is where you can reset the fuser and the Transfer belt count

Have you check the teflon at the heater? have you clean the reflector of laser? Try that.

HP 5550c Printer: install a toner cartridge and now the cartridge is jamed and unable to turn the toners as before. can not remove the cartridge.

The white plastic lever has broken and needs replacement. On the bottom left hand side bracket of the Transfer kit to it's left is a black plastic cover which pops off remove it and you will see a white plastic
lever which pivots on a bar with the transfer kit locking and unlocking the toner cartridges it often goes bad and tears. Hp should modify this and make this piece metal not plastic. You can manually pull and push down on the metal bar to lock unlock the toner cartridges for a temporary fix.

Light grey vertical line printing on left side of paper used the cleaning cycle and line in now doubled There is a black vertical line down left side of the page. I used the cleaning page but the line is...

Hi there,

I believe there are 3 possible causes for this issue; toner drum, fuser or transfer roller - more than likely I would dismantle the printer and check for lines on the fuser. But just in case remove the toner and carefully release the flap to reveal the toner drum - if that is scored and the lines correspond to those on the print-out thats the cause.
