SOURCE: evaporator comes on, but the condensor unit does'nt.

Have u checked at the compressor unit. There is a contactor than energizes the compressor is this contactor getting supply when u turn on the evaporator this contactor get energized see if this happens. If this is energized and you are getting supply to the compressor and compressor doesn't turn on 1.) compressor has thermal protection this might be faulty 2.) or the compressor has too much freon 3.) check if the windings of the compressor motor are not short to ground

SOURCE: installed new LG 18000 btu mini split heat pump,

a heat pump is a finely tuned machine that can be very efficient yet very frustrating at times. I could give you better advice if I were looking at the unit but hear are some things that may help. The unit has a defrost mode that cycles every 30,60,or 90 minutes. If you take the cover off of the condensing unit and near the top you will see the adjustor. unless you live in arctic or very humid cilimates, it should not be set to 30 min. Also the unit may be low on refrigerant. you can check this with a thermometer. put the therm. on the hot gas line(big one) and it should be 110 degrees hotter than the outside temp. Insulate the point of contact around the therm. and gas line. Also, your aux. heat may not be coming on to supplement the heat from the pump. i.e. the fusable link could have burned up and the heating element wouldnt be coming on(elec. models). there are too many variables and combinations of problems that could cause this.

I have a carrier aircon, inverter. What is the meaning of code P9?

Hi Cherisse - This is a typical error code for a faulty thermister (also shows up as open contactor). On some Carrier units, it also refers to DC Fan protection...

This does not sound like a user fixable item...please contact an HVAC repair shop.

Where do tou install ink

From the Manual:

1 Make sure the printer is on.
2 Lift the printer (scanner unit) until the scanner support keeps it open. The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.
3 Squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
4 Remove the old cartridges. Store them in an air-tight container or dispose of them.
5 If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and tape from the bottom of the cartridges.

NOTICE: Do not touch the gold contact area on the cartridges.
6 Insert the new cartridges. Make sure the color ink cartridge is secure in the left carrier
and the black cartridge is secure in the right carrier, and then snap the lids closed.
7 Lift the printer (scanner unit) and push the scanner support back while lowering the printer (scanner unit) until it is closed.
