What is it hooked up to? If a windows computer you can quickly do this by holding down 3 keys at once. Ctrl + Alt + choose an arrow key. Tip if your doing this on dual display, what ever screen your mouse last clicked on will be changed when you do this. Ctrl + Alt + left arrow or right arrow depending on orientation desired.

In the LCD1830 the inverter for the backlight always burns out. They are fairly easy to replace when you remove the back to get inside. A new one is available from MoniServ for $69.99. http://www.lcdpart.com/Products/uhp061104mss.html

SOURCE: mounting a NEC MultiSync LCD 1560

You need a VESA mounting plate. The VESA Standard defines mounting interfaces, hole patterns and associated cable/power supply locations for LCD/TFT monitors. The monitor you have has a 75mm x 75mm hole pattern as per the spec sheet below: http://www.nec-display-solutions.co.uk/coremedia/download/62980/LCD1560VM-Datasheet-english.pdf There are many types of bracket depending whether you want the panel flat on the wall or to be able to swivel it. You can see some example on the page below: http://www.rs100.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=30_55&products_id=580&osCsid=15qvrvji4vn4uk49pcidd38q83 You need to search your location for a supplier. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: screen and colors too bright

Sorry to say, but I'm having the same problem. If it doesn't change when you press the Fn key and the hollow/right arrow sunshine, then, I doubt there's anything you can do.

I want to use a NEC Multisync 1700V monitor as an external display for my Thinkpad T400. However I get no image when I hook up the laptop and change the display scheme to display on my laptop screen +...

The only I can think of is the resolution setting that your T400 is putting out that your NEC does not like andcannot display, look at the T42 resolution when the NEC is hooked up to it and try to set it to be the same in the T400.

The resolution notifier keeps popping up (NEC multisync 1740 CX) and I am unable to turn it off.

It probably is warning you that your video graphics adapator is puting out a non-native resolution to the monitor.

LCD monitors are designed for a specific resolution. If you don't use that resolution, the LCD has to try to mimick the resolution you've asked for.

Check your display settings and also consider updating your graphic driver if a new version is available.

Hi I just bought 7 NEC Multisync LCD1550v monitors and they all have the same problem. when plugged in all i get is a blinking power light. 1 of them showed signs of life for just a second but that was it....

You buy a new LCD Monitors, now still not working., if that new LCD Monitor is OK, then check your VGA Card, its inside the CPU maybe its broke or not connect properly inside. This are the cause of not displaying in your LCD Monitors.
If you here some beeps of your CPU then find out how many beeps and tell us here immediately.
